varkala to kollam junction?

guys whats the best transport to get from varkala to kollam (apart from trains) ?

I have a train from Kollam at 5:38pm, and the closest train to kollam is one that arrives kollam at 4:12 and I will have to wait more than 1 hour 30mins...

I want to know if theres any bus or anything more suitable for this to reduce wait time.

Thank you!!

what to do rn in varkala 😭

I came to varkala, after 6months, and the scene is quite different than last time….

Due to rain, the beach access is closed, so that is out of question…

Although I like the beach views and the relaxation, honestly I‘m getting somewhat bored just sitting around in the hostel

people who are here- how are you spending your day?

Celebrating 23rd birthday alone on a solo trip

I’m in a train right now to varkala as of typing this…

day after tomorrow, I’ll be turning 23..

(for the first time on bday) I was away from my family, so thought of going on a solo trip to spend my birth day with myself in a little different way than every-time.

last year has been a crash course of life, transforming and transitioning a lot of things….so its gonna be a great time to reflect back on that

so, I would like to hear thoughts and ideas/inputs of all the things I can do for myself on that day….

bonus points if anyone who has been to varkala before can recommend specific places or activities to try

mens only - do you love your barber?

guyss....

New to this city, and have the universal problem that every man has -
finding the dream barber, at this point it feels harder than finding dream girl lol.

I always use to get a simple cut in my home city, now I want to grow long hair and experiment and also my hair are very diff ( dense, straight, stubborn )

I am looking for a place where I can talk to the barber and get a cut patiently, ideally under 400-500rs.

Last time I went to a place in HSR, I literally had the quickest cut of my entire life, in 5mins, and I was done before I could share some of my preferences so....

Pls help a homie out!!

problem with socialising meetups....

It's Saturday evening and I am trying to find interesting meetups to join tomorrow, and suddenly I realized a problem statement in the socializing meetups I usually attend......

IT DOESN'T COMPOUND

I mean, every new meetup, new people, feels good for an hour, and back to 0....

I am not complaining, in fact that's also part of the fun, but sometimes I wish the friendships and connections from such meetups compounded...

Should we start a socialising meetup event on sundays where we have an agenda of repeat-visiting as much as possible, and sort of make a compounding social scene, while still keeping it welcoming for newcomers....
idk if it resonates with others, it might be stupid idea lol
drop your thoughts...

observers / thinkers / philosophers : where you at?

I had been lazy last few days, doomscrolling and shit so...

I decided to have a slow day today, started with reading a philosophy book, and then later on I sat with myself observing my thoughts for an hour....

I felt great and in touch with myself quite sometime!! I started wondering about the same philosophical questions about our existence, consciousness, observation etc. that I used to ponder upon in the past, only to realise it has been quite sometimes since I have been exploring that side of mine.

so I was thinking, out of all the meetups and communities/clubs we have here, is there anything regarding philosophy? deeper than normal conversations etc.? ( and pls no pretentious shit, I hate pretended deep talks for the sake of deep talks more than anything )
and if no... is that something I should start? I mean like a group of people who are looking at life with curiousity and have more meaningful pursuits than just chasing LPAs..
I mean quite ironical it would be since we are in blr, but anyways...

Extreme abnormal battery behaviour - Nord 4

I have been using Oneplus Nord 4 since around one year.
I have had great experience with the phone, the battery usually lasts me entire day with 7-9 hours of SOT.

from last week, it suddenly behaving very weirdly, I saw my phone draining % every few seconds and minutes....
so much so, that almost an hour of use would make it go from 100 to 0%

It's not a one time thing, I can use my phone for more than 2hours, from 100 to 0.
what's even more crazy is that if I charge to 100 and then go to bed, phone will be at 3-5% when I wake up or even worse, shutdown-ed.

My battery Health is 95%!!!! the phone is just one year old.

something very weird is happening due to a software update or something... what do I do?

100 to 1 in just 1 hour of screen on, also 100 to 1 in overnight idling

battery health is 95%

I made $100,000 at 22, and I'm looking for a job

prolly me to myself rn: this is weird, why would I ever apply for a job?
it's 4:31 am, I should sleep but here I am up deciding the next big career move

Hi,
I'm 22yo, I started building internet businesses at 16 and my last venture was a YouTube media agency serving US clients. We created end to end content for a very specific type of channels within YouTube. It all started out as a casual freelance thing, but one thing added after another and I was handling teams of writers, editors, voice over artists in India, Philippines, US. I was making around $3000-4000 per month. Good profit margins and everything. basically doing great for my age at 18-19

I handled everything myself at different points including sales calls, cold outreach, client management, scripting systems, editors, thumbnail designers, voice artists, operations, deadlines, retention strategy, packaging, hiring freelancers, fixing chaos, managing people, figuring out why videos flop, why clients leave, why systems break, all of it. A lot of the skills are honestly hard to explain properly because when you build something from scratch that young, especially on the internet, you end up learning this weird mix of psychology, marketing, operations, communication, negotiation, product thinking, internet culture, execution speed, and problem solving in a very raw first-hand way instead of some structured professional MBA type thing.

Fast forward to now, I quit that agency last year (has its own set of reasons why I something making good money), and was on a break for a year due to personal reasons....
I'm coming back to my work phase now again but I don't have any idea of my own that I want to build, rather I want to be in high growth startup environments where I can get exposure and industry depth.

The role that I think would fit me are - Founder office roles, Project management roles, anything high stakes generalist type thing..

If you are looking for someone who is an A player and can bring a weird mix of founder level skillset in your startup, hit me up!
