Do I need to fill a separate college application after the Mumbai University PG application?

Hi everyone,

I've already submitted my University of Mumbai PG Admission 2026–27 application for M.Sc. Information Technology and selected my college preferences (Ruia, Vaze, RJ College, SIES Nerul, Khalsa, etc.).

I'm confused about the next step.

Do I also need to fill the individual college's admission/application form now, or should I wait until the merit list is announced?

Specifically:

- Is the University of Mumbai application alone enough?

- Do autonomous colleges like Ruia, Vaze, RJ College, or SIES require a separate application before the merit list?

- If yes, when should I submit those forms?

I'd appreciate advice from anyone who went through the PG admissions process recently. Thanks!

Need help: Oneplus 13r VS Nothing phone 3

I have a 1-month-old OnePlus 13R (bought for ₹38k). Should I sell it for ₹36k–38k to buy the Nothing Phone 3 with a charger for ₹42k during the Amazon sale for a better camera 📸 and an IP68 rating? 💦 What do you think? 🤔

B.Sc. IT graduate with weak skills and missed CET deadlines. MCA, MBA, gap year, or job—which path makes the most sense?

  • B.Sc. IT graduate with 5.82 CGPA from a Tier 2/Tier 3 college in Kalyan, Mumbai
  • Commerce background
  • Never properly learned programming during graduation
  • Relied mostly on last-night cramming for exams.
  • Currently have zero coding skills and no technical knowledge & confidence
  • English speaking and communication skills are very weak
  • Missed this year's MCA CET and MBA CET registration deadlines
  • Take a 1‑year drop to prepare for entrance exams, improve soft/technical skills, and restart learning from basics
  • Worried about how a gap year might affect future job opportunities (auto-reject)
  • Direct admission for MCA/MBA is possible, but management quota fees are very high
  • Financial constraints make expensive admissions difficult
  • Confused between MCA and MBA as a career path
  • MCA seems like the natural continuation of my IT degree
  • MBA (IT/Systems, Business Analytics, FinTech) seems to align with my Commerce + IT background
  • Many friends are choosing MBA, which adds to my confusion
  • Also considering skipping a master's degree and entering the job market directly with the help of private certification courses that provide short‑term training and placement support.
  • Open to improving skills through certifications if that is a better path

Looking for practical advice on:

* MCA vs MBA

* Gap year vs immediate admission

* Direct admission vs entrance preparation

* Master's degree vs job + certifications

* Most logical and financially sensible path forward
