In a world of humans and tech the old leave nature alone model is dumb, prey species need to be breed and introduced in area where animals are threatened. AI could do that btw, but I am sure antis would rather just spam sad pictures and do nothing.

Older chats disappear from the list, and the solution is apparently to search for them. That is not very useful when you do not remember the exact title or wording from a conversation you had six months ago.
It makes years of work feel like it was deleted, even if the chats are technically still there.

The funny part is that this change may end up wasting more resources than the old sidebar ever did. People are going to repeatedly search for missing chats, re-explain old projects, upload their entire history, and ask ChatGPT to rebuild an archive that used to already exist.
So honestly, everyone affected should do it.
Export everything. Make your own searchable index. Use ChatGPT to organize all the conversations the new layout hides.
Maybe if enough people use extra compute rebuilding a basic feature, OpenAI will decide that a search box is not a replacement for a proper chat archive.

I love how the mods are just as unhinged as the posters, it is honestly scary how insane these people are.
Stopped at a gas station and parked next to this beauty, they had dug it it for inspection and you would think it needs replacement, but they filled in the hole and left so I guess this is fine. Not parking next to this electric pole again, cause it looks like a strong breeze could blow this over.
I guess it better the mods of that subreddit don't enforce reddits rules against violence, because at least we get to see what the anti's really think. It just so insane that these people are willing to hurt others because they hate AI.
