Teru needs to be given more credit of how FAST he powers up

I know Teru is already generally well loved by this fandom but man I can’t help but make a glaze post for one of our fave characters (other than Reigen and Serizawa whom we all love). EVERY single time this dude shows up, he somehow manages to surpass himself: 1) He can easily lift multiple vehicles alone, 2) He learned pyrokinesis (likely from his training session with that other esper kid), 3) He learned to make forceful whips just like from his former upper scar opponent Terada, 4) He learns to make multi-layered barriers, 5) he was brutally beated by Ryou but in the next time they fought (literally only HOURS later), Ryou now deemed him as the sole threat amongst the others and was gonna get killed first but he eventually learned how to read Ryou’s movements, 6) he was the only one to not get brainwashed off the bat and was FIRST at the Divine Tree, and finally 7) near the end of season 3, the dude can now travel at the speed of LIGHT (not exactly like teleportation but that’s still damn fast???)

And this boy is just in MIDDLE school just like Mob. He gets defeaten but bounces back so fast + learns from previous weaknesses to refine his techniques. He has a knack for quickly surpassing himself and previous opponents (with the sole exception of Mob obviously whose raw power is its own league). The author did an excellent job in writing the first esper character that Mob encounters.

Tsubomi always held respect for Mob and that’s so refreshing

I’m doing a rewatch and I reached the episode where Tsubomi and her friend visited Reigen’s office. I found it cute and interesting how she quickly noticed Mob among the photos of previous happy clients. Her becoming more convinced that Reigen is reliable after seeing Mob in the gallery serves as a proxy that she regards him with a certain degree of respect and trust. A few episodes back, she even silently complimented Mob for standing up for a girl and putting back her novel together. It’s just so refreshing to have the romantic interest character not being the main plot point at ALL. And yet, despite having such little screen time, she is still a character that “haunts” the narrative and knows how to leave a strong impression. She knows about Mob’s powers but does not put him on a pedestal for it. Instead, Tsubomi values real-world efforts, independence, and genuine human traits over flashy supernatural talents, and I think that speaks a lot about her character. TLDR: we love a woman who knows what she wants and can call out bullshit.

How would you arrange these items?

For context, my sister and I have been living in separate cities and we have recently moved back in together so that we can split the rent. The issue is, we both came with our own items and the new apartment’s bedrooms are smaller than our previous ones. We currently don’t have a living room couch and we eventually intend to buy a brand new one, so the blue chair will have to do for now since we can’t afford to buy the new one until maybe at the end of the year. Another thing about the smaller bedrooms is that my desk and white board don’t fit in my new room. I was very much tempted to just sell the entire set up and just settle with studying at my school’s campus but because I’m in medicine, I realized it’s important that I have a designated place to focus at home to review, so it will have to stay where it is for now.

Just based on the items that are here for now, how would you guys organize these items? I know there’s a clash of aesthetics but maybe by reorganizing and buying some stuff for the walls and other miscellaneous items, it can make the living room temporarily more coherent :(

Dadtoki is the best Gintoki

Watching Gintama for the first time and I had just reached Ep. 51 and I’m OBSESSED. I keep gushing over seeing mini Gin and Gintoki side by side. I’ve always loved how Gintoki acts like a father / older brother figure to Kagura and Shinpachi so I’m pleasantly surprised they decided to make Dadtoki as an episode’s main plotline. The Umibozou arc so far is my favourite arc because we got to learn about Kagura’s backstory as well as see a deeper side of Gin and his intentions. It’s not always we see a grown ahh man in his 20s choose to take in two teenagers lol he may not be the father but he is the father who stepped UP.

Been more than 25 business days waiting for CAQ application

I submitted my application on April 8 and on my MIFI Quebec portal it still says “Receipt of documents”. It is currently May 14. Based on various similar discussions in the internet, I’m noticing most people have been getting their CAQ between 25-30 business days but I am getting worried since the IRCC processing time for study permit extension inside Canada is 76 days so I’m worried my permit won’t get in time for mid-August; this is the timeline of which my specific program requires my study permit to be submitted. After how many days beyond 25 business days should I call to inquire? Is it a bad sign if they’re late (i.e., letter of refusal)?
