Is Sturgis safe/welcoming for a Black woman?

I’ve been thinking about going to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally next year, but I’d really like to hear from people who have actually been there.

I’m a Black woman and I genuinely love motorcycles, the music, and the whole biker atmosphere, so Sturgis looks like something I would absolutely enjoy. The only thing holding me back is that I’m a little nervous about how I would be treated because of my skin color.

I’m not trying to stereotype anyone or assume that everyone there is racist. I just know that Sturgis is a huge event with people coming from all kinds of places and backgrounds, and as a Black woman traveling there, it’s something I have to think about.

Have any Black women or other Black bikers been to Sturgis? Did you feel welcome and safe? Were people friendly, or did you experience racism or uncomfortable situations?

I’d especially love to hear firsthand experiences. I really want to go because the motorcycles and music are right up my alley. I just don’t want to spend the entire trip feeling like I don’t belong there because of the color of my skin.

Thanks ❤️

Gianna is also a weirdo

always see people defending Gianna because she seemed quieter and nicer than Abby, but if you really watch Dance Moms, she enabled a lot of Abby's behavior. She laughed at the girls, rarely stood up for them, and often helped Abby criticize or belittle them. Just because she wasn't yelling all the time doesn't mean she wasn't part of the problem.

The martha who saved charlotte

Okay, maybe it's the pregnancy hormones, but I'm doing a rewatch and I just got to the scene where the Martha gets to put on a doctor's coat again so she can treat Charlotte.

I actually started crying.

This woman was a doctor. A highly educated professional who dedicated her life to helping people. Then Gilead took all of that away and reduced her to being a Martha.

Watching her put that coat back on, even for a short moment, was heartbreaking. It made me think about all the women in Gilead whose lives were stolen from them. Doctors, lawyers, scientists, professors, artists. Women who spent years building careers and identities, only to have everything stripped away because they were women.

Some were forced to become Marthas. Others were sent to Jezebel's. Their education, achievements, and dreams suddenly meant nothing to the regime.

That scene reminded me that one of the cruelest things about Gilead isn't just the violence it's the waste. The destruction of so much talent, intelligence, and humanity.

And honestly?

F Serena.

Ohh sansa

One of the most impactful quotes in Game of Thrones and the craziest part is Sansa doesn’t even realize it at the time.

“He is going to be the greatest king there ever was. A golden lion. And I will give him sons with beautiful blond hair.”

Looking back, this line is honestly chilling. Sansa says it like a dreamy little fairytale fantasy, completely unaware that she’s basically describing the entire lie at the center of the kingdom.

The “beautiful blond hair” part especially hits different after everything we learn later. The audience eventually realizes exactly why that matters, but Sansa is still innocent enough to think it’s romantic instead of a massive red flag.

It’s one of those quotes that becomes darker and more tragic the more you rewatch the show. Especially because she still believes in knights, true love, and the perfect royal family at that point.
