Anyone who uses hand controls to drive with a Kia EV? I love my Kia Niro EV so much but I need hand controls to drive now and do not want to give her up.
I know it’s niche but I am determined to make it work. (Picture is what I have in my other car)
I’m so happy with them! I feel so sturdy. ID: a pair of legs wearing white socks, space print AFO’s with black straps, and black shoes with white soles standing on pavement, the photo is a upside down
This is to showcase how important a well fit chair with an appropriate backrest is.
The first 4 images are my everyday chair, yes the frame is quite long but that’s how i prefer it, I do wish the footrest was a little higher up. It’s a 17x18 TiLite aero Z with a java backrest and Jay fusion cushion. The push handles are aftermarket and that high because my spouse is much taller than my handles would be standard.
The next 4 (5,6,7,8) are my spouses chair. It’s an 18x18 Quickie QRI with a standard backrest and comfort curve cushion.
The final 3 (9,10,11) are my old chair. It’s a 15x15 TiLite TRa with an aftermarket aluminum seat pan and back hardware (making it fit more like a 15x16) due to it being 25 years old. The cushion on this one is just a cheap honeycomb cushion from Amazon that I use when I sit on my couch.
Now I have a rental track chair AND a rental basketball chair!
My arms were being super sluggish today and this was after practice so don’t mind the slow start!
Thank you to my amazing friend Dani for helping her organization get me set up with this loaner ZRA! It’s almost perfect for me, just need the footplate a tiny bit higher.
