What regulates the sundowning schedule?

My mother has trouble speaking coherent sentences after around 5:00 or so. It's not tied to actual sunlight, because as the days have gotten longer she's been sundowning earlier. I don't notice a difference if she gets up at 8am or 11am. I don't notice a difference if we have a busy day or a lazy day.

Could it be food related, linked to the dinner schedule? I know I can't defeat the sundowning but just wondering if I can tweak it at all.

Skull Granny Square

A friend of mine saw a guy wearing this sweater and sent me this photo. I don't have a patter but I think it's pretty fantastic.

School zone

You know what sign I don't understand? "Speed Limit 25... when children are present."

How do they expect me to notice if any children are present when I'm zooming by at 60 miles per hour?

Can't get to sleep

This has been going on for about a month now and is getting worse. It takes my mother 3-4 hours every single night to get to sleep. She is up every 15 minutes or more just asking random questions or just repeating "I don't know what I should be doing." It doesn't matter if she goes to bed at 8:00 or 10:00; it's 4 hours of her keeping me awake. I know insomnia is a side effect of Alzheimer's, but are there any secret tips to get her to sleep or should I just slip her some whiskey before bed?

Music really does help

My mother seems to enjoy listening to music.

I usually had the TV on for her; she enjoyed TV Land and watching old Andy Griffith and Everybody Loves Raymond episodes. But she can no longer follow the stories or remember the characters. I switched over to music, specifically the "traditional Irish folk songs" playlist on Amazon and she really likes it. I've noticed she's much more interactive, energetic, and more alert. She is still repeating everything multiple times and forgets everything, but she's happier and more pleasant to be around, which makes things much easier on me.

Could Data from Next Generation Crochet?

Crochet is a famously difficult to mechanize skill, so would, as an android, data be capable of it?

Request: Orthogonal map of Manhattan from 1980s

I found these two blurry photos (yes, prints) of a poster I had in the 80s. It was a beautiful view of midtown Manhattan. By any chance, does anyone recognize this? I would love to see a clear copy of it again.

For Gen X folks: In the upper right corner of the first photo, you can see the disk drive for my Apple II+. In the top center of the photo are a few dozen Knight Rider clippings pinned to a cork board. Patricia McPherson, who played KITT's mechanic Bonnie, can be seen right next to the disk drive.
