Eating Large Meals Relieves my GERD?

Hello,

I don't understand why but I have noticed that eating large meals actually relieves my GERD symptoms. Like yesterday I had a very large meal with a friend and I thought I would be suffering afterwards but I felt totally fine, not even the hint of heartburn. When I do eat smaller meals I find that my GERD symptoms to be far more prevalent.

Does this happen with anyone else or does someone have an explanation? I always thought the consensus was always eat smaller meals.

Thanks.

I swear GERD is "self aware"..

hello,

So I have been experiencing pretty bad acid reflux/GERD issues for at least the last 2 months. I don't know what started it off but I have been getting heartburn, sore throat, trouble swallowing, burping and nausea etc... I have not taken PPI's or any other medication as I don't like taking medication and have been trying to deal with it.

This last week though I decided I have had enough and was going to try Gaviscon Advance to see if it would work so I ordered some off E-bay which was not cheap. I had to wait a few days before delivery before it arrived but wouldn't you believe it in the last 3 days I have no GERD symptoms at all, none! I am of course happy about this but think it's ironic that I now have Gaviscon Advance, something I can use, but now have no need to use it.

I swear GERD just plays with you sometimes, it's almost like it knows when to die down but then come back with a vengeance when you have nothing that can help.

Anyway not sure why I even writing this just thought it was funny but crazy at the same time 😂😂😂

Worst company ever!

Do these drivers ever read instructions? Firstly why did he leave my parcel right outside my doorstep where anybody could have took it?, secondly I left specific instructions under the accessibility to ring the doorbell and that was totally ignored as well. I am partially deaf and can't hear when someone knocks the door.

How this trash heap of a company is allowed to continue business is beyond me they are truly negligent on evri level.

I'm still not getting Render Cache (apparently), help please!

I've been using Resolve Studio for a few weeks now just trying to educate myself about the program and creating some basic clips for testing purposes only, nothing too complex.

I am enjoying the process but I still can't understand "render cache". Sometimes in the timeline you get the red line across the top of all your clips and it turns blue eventually indicating it's been rendered out and the playback is perfect. But there are times where that red line starts to turn blue and then stops and goes back to the beginning or it happens to the red line as well.

Can anyone explain why this is? I have set render cache to "user" and have also deleted the render cache for the project to reset it but still it happens sometimes. Is there a setting I'm missing? any help would be appreciated.

Please see short video below to see the issue in action..

Render Cache stuck in loop.

Thanks.

New stairlift but safety belt issues!

Hello,

As some of you know I have been a caregiver for my elderly dad for about 10 years now. He has weakness in his arms and arthritis in his hands, he also has bad mobility issues.

The last year he has been complaining about how hard it was for him to get up and down our stairs. Eventually we decided that he needed a stairlift which he got and was put in today.

He has no issues with it apart from a major one and that is he finds it very difficult to pull and put the safety belt on. He can do it eventually but not without a struggle, I help him when I can but there are going to be times when I'm not here to do it for him. The stairlift will not move without the belt clipped in for safety reasons which I totally understand.

Can anyone suggest what I can get to make this task a lot more easier for him?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Thawed out Ice Cream!

hey,

I'm bloody sick of getting goods like ice cream being almost fully thawed out when it gets to me!! Re-freezing ice cream just ruins the texture and flavour of it.

Do these Asda vans even have freezers inside?!!, I'm in the Swansea area if that makes any difference. Should I request a refund for these types of items? right now I'm paying for something I can't even eat.

thanks.

Creating Subtitles From Music Clips/Videos?

Hello,

So I want to create some subtitle files from various music videos. I want to use these subtitle files in Davinci Resolve (paid version).

I have found software that I think would be perfect for this purpose but unfortunately every time I go to download it it just times out and I can't get it. The software is called "Subtitles Maker for Music Videos". I like it because you can load in a lyrics text file, click on each lyric line as the video or audio is playing and it matches each line to that exact point in the video/audio.

A video of this can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cnh2WFFcqk0

I have tried to find other software that matches this functionality but I just can't find anything like it. Does anybody know of anything similar that I can use, even I can't click on each lyric line itself maybe something that uses a shortcut keypress and then moves on to the next line?

Thanks for any help.

Selectively disabling third party plugin effects?

So I got the Boris FX Continuum set of effects and filters for Resolve. It has some great effects and filters but there's an absolute ton of them and I don't want to always load everything in when Resolve starts up. Is there a way that I can selectively load the effects I use on a regular basis in Resolve? When I go to video plugins I can only disable it all or nothing. If I can't do this in Resolve by itself is there third party plugin that would allow me to do this?

Thanks.

Omeprazole, does it work?

Hello,

This is my first post here so please be gentle lol. I have not been officially diagnosed with GERD but for the past month or so I am suffering from all the symptoms that suggest I have it.

I am currently a carer for my elderly dad and he used to be on a ton of medications one of which was Omeprazole (20mg) which he no longer needs to take (it wasn't for GERD) so I have a lot of spare medication here.

I am seriously thinking of taking it to see if it will help with these symptoms I am experiencing. I live in the UK and I can also get this medication OTC so I don't need to see a doctor to get it even if I didn't have any here.

My question is how effective is it and are side effects likely? Right now I am desperate and will try anything to get rid of this burning feeling in my chest and throat even though I don't like taking any medication normally.

Thanks.
