I took the key fob off of the sewing machine and flipped it over. 🤦‍♀️

Any suggestions on machine sewing leather through 2 layers of needlepoint canvas? I must need to adjust the tension, right? I’m using a leather needle and 12wt thread (bobbin and top thread).

Third photo shows the cute ribbon I used as backing.

Canvas is Blue Ridge Stitchery purchased at Bay Head Needlepoint.

World of Needlepoint in Waynesville, NC still around?

I’ll be visiting Waynesville, NC and found in my online search of local needlepoint shops “The World of Needlepoint” — the website is minimal and gives no location/contact information about its storefront, although the site says it’s been in business for over 30 years. Anyway, I’d love to check it out and was hoping someone here would have a lead for me? Thanks!

The level of appreciation and gratitude I have for people in my life is truly boundless

Earlier this week I screamed into the void. Now I am sending out thanks. I try to show them my appreciation daily and now I’m screaming thanks into the gratitude universe. Thank you!

Why why why do delivery people ignore obvious signs?!?

It’s stupid and not a real problem — I know that!

But oh my fucking god why can’t delivery people just take the EASIEST path to dropping stuff off? I have put up signs, barriers, CHAINS blocking off one of the two entrances to our home and Amazon, UPS, door dash will literally climb over shit, walk up snow covered stairs, unlatch chains and leave packages right next to a sign the says “LEAVE PACKAGES DOWNSTIARS”.

It makes no sense.

Long time ndlptr, first time fnshr

I might make a nicer tassle than the one included in the kit and I might line the work I did, but generally speaking it’s done and it’s my first fully finished piece! Thanks JAxMichaels and silk&ivory!

Michaels x JA kit hack!

I’m getting pretty excited about this! I’ve worked needlepoint for years but more like cross stitch, never to a finished item so I’m excited to do this cheap-o self finish Michaels zippy bag.

I tossed the kit thread and needle, and am using Silk&Ivory and added the Red Dragon. It’ll hold my mah jongg card and quarters!

Notes on the kit: I can’t speak to how the thread is — I used my own stash thread. The needle is a mess — jaggedy parts that split up my thread and made it all fuzzy. The canvas is also a little rough and the paint transfers off a little onto light colors. But, it’s a great little project and is definitely inspiring me to do more proper finishes!!!

My kid is super into puppets and I wanted to set up a kind of studio for him using an iPhone for taking the video that live streams directly to an iPad that he views wiggle making the video. Is there an app for this or is it something that’s built into IOS devices?

Thanks in advance for any recs!
