Just picked up 2 mec gar 18rnd mags anyone have and experience with them? I know it’s not smart but they are already in the edc rotation

Already destroyed the factory fcg and replaced it with a semi mp5 one I had (needed to clearance cut the extractor channel and swap the spring) and assembled the barrel. Im super pumped for this build.

So while building my mp5 I was milling the barrel pin and the receiver must have shifted ever so slightly and I milled at an angle around .5mm-1mm down into the trunnion on the tapered side of the barrel pin. Used a 3/32 4 flute end mill and a 5mm reamer it wasn’t until I installed the barrel pin that I noticed. Figured it wasn’t going to hurt anything at the time test fired and ran fine. Now I’m having second thoughts I don’t really want to replace my trunnion but what are the experts thoughts? It sucks because everything else came out perfect and to the HK spec and technical drawing tolerances.

Mystery mouser: I think it’s a bannerman build no receiver marks other than a 4 digit sn but it’s in modern 8mm Mauser with the g98 rear site and k98 length barrel and stock really weird rifle.

I have a dagger compact with a spiral fluted threaded barrel, edc dr cut slide, vortex venom 6moa and tlr1hl. 1400 rounds down the tube and it has been nothing but reliable. I’m not sure why people hate on these things. What are your thoughts?
