Is my kitten breathing normally? Too fast?

Pictured my babes Diva and Tigger. 4m, not fixed yet, I'm in middle east and have vet.
Tigger broke his hip yesterday and we left him at the vet for surgery. Diva slept on me for the first time the night Tigger wasn't home. She's been following me and meowing a LOT MORE.
She also does this thing where she grabs a toy in her mouth and yowls. She's eating and drinking and playing normally otherwise.
Does she miss him :( I've also been in tears ever since we left him at the hospital and miss him horribly. Is she calling for him and searching for him :(
I've heard "the worst wet food is better than the best dry food" being said a lot.
My 3 month kittens needed probiotics after a bout of the runs and I had to mix it in wet food. I got whiskas tuna junior wet food.
I brought it up to my vet in passing and she damn near freaked out. She gave me 4 replacement wet food pouches of some local Arabic name brand (I'm in the middle east).
Thing is, she didn't explain at all why whiskas is bad. My kittens love it and it says it's balanced and complete on the packets. The internet tells me it's fast food for cats. Now I'm apprehensive.
I'm super hesitant to feed them this now and I bought it in bulk 🫠. Debating if I should just feed my stock to the neighborhood strays now but I'm not rich enough to buy this fancy wet food and they still need their probiotics.
I'm already out of the Arabic brand she recommended. Should I feed them whiskas? Is it really so bad?
Cat tax of my sweet babies Diva and Tigger included❤️
