Macwhisper vs. Alter: A Comparison of User Support and Tutorial Quality

Macwhisper vs. Alter: A Comparison of User Support and Tutorial Quality

Unfortunately, Macwhisper falls short significantly: the developer provides no video guides or detailed tutorials whatsoever.
This is especially disappointing given that it is their core application.

In stark contrast, Alter consistently delivers comprehensive, high-quality video guides and thorough tutorials.

So today I received an email from Alter about a new video on a guide to help you handle your meetings.

Alter - How to Record, Summarize, and Automate Your Meetings
In this video, I walk through the full meeting workflow in Alter, from setup and automatic meeting detection to live captions, transcript cleanup, meeting reports, automation, troubleshooting, and recovery.

After upgrading to version 8, New Tabs (2nd level) don't open after the current

What is going on?!

After upgrading to version 8.0.4033.28, New Tabs (2nd level) don't open immediately after the current tab as expected. Instead, they open at the begining on the 1st level!

There were no changes to the settings. I checked, and the setting in the Tab section appears to be correct.

An apps to save Google AI Mode Chats Seamlessly Without Ads or Formatting Issues?

Normally, I use Google (AI Mode) to ask questions.

The issue I have is not being able to easily and seamlessly save the chat for my records.

  1. Copying the chat is impossible because a bunch of ads are also selected (unavoidable).
  2. Using the Obsidian Web Clipper, those ads are also captured, and the chat’s formatting is lost, making it messy and unreadable.

Is there any app or method that can save all these chats seamlessly?

Can someone confirm if the following website is legit?

https://github.com/darrylmorley/whatcable

Basically, I want to check if a USB-C to USB-C adapter supports 240W.

AI suggested me to use a free app called "whatcable" to test if it has the E-Marker feature.

Thanks!

Is there a macOS utility app specifically designed to identify which app or background process is "stealing" or hijacking global keyboard shortcuts?

I came across ShortcutDetective, which is designed for this purpose, but it appears to be abandoned software.

Are there any alternatives?

Thanks!
