Been a long wait for the Supergirl 4K steelbook, but it’s finally arrived from GRUV.

Now I patiently wait for a 4K announcement for the 1984 version.

Not everything came from the arrow sale at B&N.

Had to resort to ordering Troy 4K from MVD Shop for $32.49, and it was worth it just to have a copy due to how quick it was selling out.

Jackie Chan’s Breakout Hits and In the Mouth of Madness 4K came from Amazon, but they were still 50% off on there.

And everything else — Falling Down, Soylent Green, Identity, and Salem’s Lot — was from B&N.

Solid all around.

No way was I leaving out of dollar tree without these.

The hunt for a PSP has finally come to an end for me as I scored a sweet deal on a PSP 2000 piano black model on Mercari.

Got it for under $100 and it came with two UMD movies, though I’ll need to get a replacement shell for one of them.

I was surprised by how excellent the condition was when it arrived. It looked, worked, and played great, and I love how light it felt in my hands.

And yes, I have already modded it too, which was surprisingly easy. (Thanks, YouTube!)

Also got a few more UMD movies and one PSP game (From Russia with Love), and I’m planning to pick up a few more games and movies as well.

I might pick up a mystic silver or pearl white PSP 2000 or 3000 sometime down the road as a backup.

Arrived today from MVD Shop, and it looks so sick in person.

As nice as the deluxe edition set looked, I didn’t need all of the extra swag that was included.

Kudos to the folks at Arrow for stepping up big time with this release.

Looking forward to finally watching it in its entirety.

I did go a bit overboard this time around, but do believe I am absolutely set for a while till B&N's November sale. Everything is 4K UHD except for David Lynch: The Art Life and Testament.

The first one(s) I plan to watch will be Body Heat and/or Life of Brian. I love myself a good film noir, and Body Heat checks the boxes. And we can all use a good laugh nowadays, and Life of Brian certainly fits the bill.

I’ve been looking forward to adding Time Bandits to the collection for quite some time, and I’m glad to finally have it. Not only was it a blind buy for me, but the lenticular slipcover sealed the deal for me. Plus, I normally like Terry Gilliam’s films (my favorites are Brazil and The Fisher King), and Time Bandits was one of his films that I’ve never seen at all.

I just realized I have three William Hurt films from this haul. Man, was he ever such an underrated and underappreciated actor, even as an Oscar winner. Altered States (his film debut) and Kiss of the Spider Woman were both blind buys as well.

Another blind buy was This is Spinal Tap, which I needed to add to my Rob Reiner collection. RIP to a legend.

One Criterion that I plan to add next is Safe (1995), from director Todd Haynes. Julianne Moore is one of my favorite actresses.

And I’m really hoping that some of Wes Anderson’s films will get separate criterion 4K releases down the road, especially Bottle Rocket, The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and The Grand Budapest Hotel.

The Stanley Kubrick collection that’s coming out later on? Well…I really only want a few of them from the set to have standalone releases, including Lolita, Killer’s Kiss, The Killing, Paths of Glory, and a 4K UHD upgrade of Dr. Strangelove. I just need those to go along with the rest of the Kubrick films that I already have on 4K, and I’m all set.

Lucked up on the last copy of The Flintstones 4K “stonebook” (steelbook) at Wally World today.

Glad I held off on buying the previous Universal blu-ray release in anticipation for this.

It’s been a good 30 years since I’ve last seen it, so I’m hoping it still holds up.

The Viva Rock Vegas prequel that came out 6 years later was unnecessary, in my opinion.

Glad to finally have my copy of the new 4K steelbook of one of my favorite Oscar winning films from last year.

It’s crazy how quickly this sold out…

I’ve only seen two of director Lynne Ramsay’s films. I really enjoyed You Were Never Really Here. However, the same couldn’t be said for the much disturbing We Need to Talk About Kevin.

Been wanting to check out Die My Love for a minute. I’ll put it on over the weekend.

Sony’s Please Rewind store on eBay is just saving the day by finally restocking the 4K steelbook of A Knight’s Tale the other day, and I couldn’t pull the trigger on it fast enough.

Looking forward to finally checking out the extended version.

Getting ready to sit back and take in all 2 hours and 14 minutes of pure insanity…

Took long enough for Blue Thunder to get a 4K release. If Sony wasn’t going to do it themselves, then I’m glad that Arrow stepped up to do it.

Looking forward to revisiting this.

Still need to get the 4K steelbooks of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, and Andor.

I’ll be glad whenever they announce The Book of Boba Fett on 4K. That one was wildly underrated and deserved to at least have a second season.

I don’t remember too much about Sleepers, other than the fact that it was a pretty rough watch. Watched bits and pieces of it on HBO back in the day, but not in its entirety.

28 Years Later is a blind buy.

And it took long enough for The Equalizer 3 and A Quiet Place: Day One to go down to decent prices of $16.49 and $17.95, respectively.

These actually arrived this past Tuesday, but didn’t feel like posting them till today because work has been kicking my ass this week.

Looking forward to revisiting Innerspace after all these years.

I really enjoyed the first season of IT: Welcome to Derry, and this steelbook looks amazing.

Glad to have it to go along with the blu-ray steelbook of the 1990 miniseries and the 4K steelbooks of chapters 1 and 2.

Looking forward to the announcement of the second season.
