Hell Awaits 40th Anniversary Edition

The remix/remaster sounds great. The mix is much better, and the drums sound more like Reign In Blood. Everything is much more clear and crisp and balanced!!! Sounds awesome.

“It’s For The Kids” Review

Anthrax is a band that has truly never disappointed. Worship Music and For All Kings are modern day masterpieces, and are undoubtedly tough records to follow. Especially with Anthrax taking 10+ years to make this record, I wasn’t sure what it would sound like.

I will just say - this song blew me away. It is everything you want in not only an Anthrax song, but in a HEAVY METAL song.

Joey sounds top notch. It is insane that he is 65 years old. The dude is untouchable. Still hits his highs like its 1987.

Scott, is the riff master. This song is packed with so many great riffs. His backing vocals sound great too.

Frankies bass stands out a lot in the mix. I have always appreciated that about Anthrax. Great bass lines in this song.

Charlie kills it on the drums. The drum mix sounds like it was taken right from State of Euphoria. Killer!

Jon Donais is on FIRE with the lead section. An amazing solo truly.

The song itself is probably one of my favorite anthrax songs to date. And I’m not just saying that because it’s new. The intro and verse is fast thrashy and old school. The chorus is straight up addictive I can’t stop listening to it. And then The bridge “Mosh” section is one of the greatest pieces of anthrax music I’ve ever heard. Makes me want to start punching things.

All in all, this song is near perfect. It combines their old school sounds from the 80’s with their Modern era sound… even with a sprinkle of Bush era in the verse.

I’m so fucking impressed with this song, and can’t wait to hear the rest of the record. I’m so proud of these guys and can’t wait to catch them on tour for this record.

Its pretty crazy that the album cover and tracklist leaked

If I was them, I would just make the announcement already and release the first single. It has been over a decade and especially with the tracklist and cover getting leaked. I think it’s time they just announced the damn thing already.

I always thought it was so funny that Randy acted like he was the victim here. After causing a bus brawl and getting called out for spitting on the bus Randy just screams at the top of his lungs “YOU PEOPLE ARE FUCKING FREAKS!!!”. Seeing Chris’s reaction in the back laughing makes it even funnier imo.

And then immediately followed by “Mark Morton! Get ready for the fucking sucker punch!”

Seriously one of the best crowds that I’ve seen. Sunday night in Boston. Very few people had their phones out and the pit was fucking crazy. This is the only video I took, Reminded me of the old days before smartphones.

The vibe felt like we were back in 2004. I would say that 90% of the audience was in their teens, 20s, or early 30s. The energy was insane.

With LOG being in there early to mid 50s, I’m hoping they still got another 10 years left for they really have to slow down…. Randy especially being the main concern because of his vocals and physicality needed as a front man. But after Sunday show, I would say my fears were laid to rest. He has more energy and stamina than most frontmen currently in the scene.

They also could not have built a better touring package, giving the spotlight and exposure to “newer” and younger bands. That have only been around 10 or so years.

I have no worries for the future of heavy metal while seeing guys in their 20s and 30s in Bogg, FFAA, and KKTX destroying and crushing it.
