I updated my Sennheiser Momentum 4 today to firmware 3.83.3, and since the update I’ve started noticing a weird crackling/clicking sound from the headphones.

It’s kind of like the sound you get when scratching or rubbing a piece of cloth — I’m not sure how else to describe it 😅.

It’s not continuous. It happens randomly for around 1–2 seconds, then disappears, and may come back again later.

I don’t remember noticing this before the firmware update.

Has anyone else experienced something similar after updating to 3.83.3?

Would appreciate knowing if this is a firmware issue or if I should be concerned that something is wrong with my headphones.

I ordered the AUDIOCULAR C03 8-Core Silver-Plated Cable with 3.5mm Jack & Built-In Microphone from AudioStore on August 1, and the promised delivery date was August 5.

Today is August 8, and I still haven’t received my order.
What’s particularly frustrating is that, according to the tracking history, the shipment had already reached the Delhi/Noida region on August 5 and subsequently reached Gaur City Office on August 7. Instead of being delivered, it has been redirected multiple times and is now showing back at Delhi Hub on August 8 with the status “Contact Customer Service.”

The tracking history looks like the package is just going back and forth between different locations:

Aug 5: Delhi Hub → Noida E-Tail Agent
Aug 6: Noida Phase II E-Tail → redirected → connected again
Aug 7: Gaur City Office → redirected → connected again
Aug 8: Delhi Hub → “Contact Customer Service”

I understand that courier delays can happen, but this is quite concerning because the package was already in the destination area several days ago.

AudioStore, could someone please look into this shipment and let me know what is actually happening? I’d really appreciate it if this could be escalated and delivered as soon as possible.

I’m looking for a replacement 3.5mm cable for my 7Hz Zero:2 because the stock type c cable has been disappointing. It has some sharp edges that keep scratching my skin, so I really want to replace it.

I’ve searched quite a bit, but most of the recommended cables seem to be out of stock.

Can anyone recommend a good 2-pin 0.78mm 3.5mm cable under ₹1500 that’s comfortable, durable, and available in India?

Also, would it make more sense to:
Buy a standalone replacement cable, or
Buy another budget IEM with a better cable and swap the cables? ( STA Hi-END iems i.e)

I’ve been using the Type-C version with my iPhone and have really enjoyed it, but now I’m looking for something that feels like a genuine upgrade, not just a side-grade.

My requirements:
• I’m very sensitive to harsh treble and high-pitched sounds, so I want a smooth, non-fatiguing sound signature.
• Natural and balanced tuning.
• Clean, controlled bass with good quality.
• Clear vocals and good instrument separation.
• Noticeably better technical performance (detail, imaging, soundstage, resolution) than the Zero:2.

Comfortable for long listening sessions.
Music I listen to:
● Bollywood
● Punjabi
● Pop
● EDM (occasionally)
● Movie soundtracks

Also, before upgrading, should I try the 3.5 mm version of the Zero:2 with a good DAC, or would it make more sense to put that money toward a better IEM instead?

If you’ve upgraded from the Zero:2, I’d really appreciate hearing what you chose and whether it felt like a significant improvement.

I recently bought the 7Hz Zero 2 (Type-C version) along with Atmos eartips as my first IEM. Based on all the hype around IEMs, I was expecting a huge upgrade, but honestly, I didn’t notice a massive difference compared to my regular Apple EarPods.
There is a difference in sound quality, instrument detail, and clarity, but not nearly as much as people make it seem.

My setup:
● iPhone 15 Pro Max
● Apple Music (Lossless enabled)
● Audiocular D07 DAC
● Atmos eartips
● Also tried FLAC files through VLC, which sounded slightly better than Apple Music to my ears.

Now I’m considering an upgrade and would like recommendations among these budget options:
● KZ ZA12 Pro 2
● KZ Duonic
● Klean SV
● Tanchjim Bunny

What I’m looking for:
● Excellent instrument separation
● Clear and natural vocals
● Good bass presence
● Smooth treble (sensitive to sharp/high-pitched sounds and sibilance)

Also, am I missing something with my current setup? Any tips, or tweaks that could help me get more out of the Zero 2?

Please keep recommendations budget-friendly. I’m not looking to jump into expensive IEMs right now.

I recently bought the 7Hz Salnotes Zero 2 (Type-C with mic) as my first IEM after hearing so many people praise IEMs for their sound quality.

I’m using them mainly with my iPhone and MacBook, and I even subscribed to Apple Music to listen to lossless audio. Along with the IEMs, I also bought Audiocular Atmos eartips.

Before this, I was using the Apple USB-C EarPods. I actually liked their sound a lot, but they never sealed properly in my ears, which is one of the reasons I decided to try IEMs.

The Zero 2 sounds good, but I’m not experiencing the kind of improvements many reviewers describe. I don’t hear a huge increase in instrument separation, and vocals don’t feel particularly forward or “in front of me” as some people claim.

Am I missing something? Is there anything I should do to get the best out of these IEMs (fit, tips, EQ, settings, etc.)?

Also, if I wanted a noticeable upgrade that would make me think, “Okay, now I get the IEM hype,” what would you recommend? My budget is flexible, but I’d rather buy something that I can happily use for years.

I listen to a bit of everything: Bollywood, Hollywood, 80s/90s music, modern pop, rock, and pretty much all genres.

Hi everyone, I recently bought the Audiocular D07 DAC and connected my Momentum 4 to my iPhone. However, the sound quality is terrible. I don’t know why, as it’s connected via the 3.5mm cable that comes with the momentum 4, but the sound is not good. When I connected it to Bluetooth, the sound quality improved significantly, and even when I used the Type C cable, the sound was better.

Can anyone suggest why this is happening?
