Hello! I’m currently helping a family member transfer all of his date from his old phone to his new phone. His old phone currently has almost 500GB of data, and it actually took almost 9 hours to do a full iCloud backup since he never backed it up before. I’m currently doing a quick transfer by putting the phones near each other, both using the same wifi, and both plugged in to keep them charged. The old phone has been on the screen “Getting things ready - Keep this IPhone near the other iPhone while signing in - Just a moment” for nearly 2 hours. Should I be patient and keep doing the quick transfer, or just cancel and go the iCloud route since I already spent almost 9 hours backing up his phone on iCloud? Only reason I’m choosing to attempt a quick transfer is because he has a lot of videos, editing apps with all of his data, and work related apps. To add to that, he almost remembers no login to any of his apps so I went this route. I apologize for all the rambling, I wanted to put as much h information as possible to help!

Hello! Classes are starting again, and I was leaning towards getting a Neo since they have a pink one. I’ve been using my sister’s MacBook Pro, and the battery has been failing lately, which feels like it won’t be a good thing if I have to take it to class. It also crashes and freezes randomly, but usually, I can fix that. Would it be more worth getting a battery change and possibly some cooling and hardware repair, or just getting the MacBook Neo? For reference, I’m in cybersecurity, and since I’m just a college student, I cannot really realistically splurge on a MacBook Air or another MacBook Pro. I mostly need a Mac for notes, Google Chrome to access my classes, and watching Netflix or YouTube. I will mostly use my PC setup for labs and heavy assignments. I apologize for the rambling, and I appreciate any help!

Hello! I’m going to assume, this is the right subreddit for this kind of issue. For the past months, I’ve noticed my screen flickering whenever I watch Netflix on safari or good chrome. I’ve tried resetting the Mac, restarting multiple times, changing the font on Netflix, changing display settings, making the pointer larger and putting it back to normal, nothing is working. Sadly, the only thing I can’t do is turn off subtitles since I need them.
