Still pretty new to this, but I’m really enjoying the process and experimenting with different styles and moods.

I’ve been dealing with this for about 9 months now, hoping for BIOS fixes from Gigabyte – but nothing really improved. So I’ve decided to replace my motherboard. It was my first Gigabyte board, and it will also be my last.

I’m currently choosing between:

• ASUS TUF Gaming B850-BTF WiFi W
• MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk MAX WiFi PZ

Which one, based on your real experience, is more stable with the “tricky” X3D CPUs and their sensitive RAM/EXPO behavior? I’m especially interested in how stable memory training actually is and whether EXPO causes issues in daily use.

I’ve often heard that ASUS tends to have more stable and predictable memory training – but I’d really like to hear real user experiences, not just reviews.

My current issue with the Gigabyte board:

I’m using a Gigabyte B850 Aorus Stealth Ice and it has been problematic since the beginning. The situation looks like this:

• BIOS resets to default due to unstable EXPO / memory training
• sometimes everything works perfectly for 3–4 weeks, then suddenly a full BIOS reset happens
• occasional graphical artifacts at startup while idle, which disappear after the system “warms up”
• SMT shows as 8 threads instead of 16 (SMT is set to Auto; cannot be manually enabled – only Auto or Disable)
• in games performance seems fine, but overall the system behavior feels inconsistent

In BIOS I only use very basic settings:

• X3D Turbo Mode for the 7800X3D
• EXPO profile 1 (6000 MT/s)
• ERP enabled
• iGPU disabled

That’s it. No manual timings, no OC, nothing advanced.

I’ve updated the BIOS, reinstalled Windows 11, tried different driver versions – nothing helped. Other components have been tested and ruled out.

Honestly, I’m just frustrated at this point. For a €300 motherboard, I expected a lot more stability.

I’d prefer to stick with a back-connect board, but the selection is still pretty limited. If there are more stable alternatives without back-connect, I’m also willing to sacrifice aesthetics for stability – I just want a reliable system.

Right now I’m leaning more towards ASUS, but I’m really open to honest, real-world feedback from people actually using these boards.

Ich würde gerne bei einem Back Connect Board bleiben, aber die Auswahl ist noch ziemlich begrenzt. Wenn es stabilere Alternativen ohne Back Connect gibt, bin ich ehrlich gesagt auch bereit, die Optik zu opfern – Hauptsache endlich Ruhe mit den BIOS Problemen.

Ich tendiere aktuell eher Richtung ASUS, aber ich bin wirklich offen für ehrliche Erfahrungen von Leuten, die diese Boards im Alltag nutzen.

Hey everyone,

I’ve only been making wallpapers for a couple of days, so still very new to this.

Is there a way to remove or clip effects so they don’t go beyond the layer boundaries? Right now some effects spill outside the main area.

These wallpapers are designed for a vertical second monitor, but I’m worried someone might use them on a main screen and it’ll look off because of that.

Any tips would be really appreciated, thanks!

I’m planning to build my husband a new PC with a full Lian Li setup (case / fans / AIO), but I’ve never really used Lian Li products before except for Strimers.

For comparison: I’m currently using an NZXT H9 Flow (2025) with stock NZXT fans, and they’ve honestly been great. After tweaking the fan curves, they’re basically silent at idle, and only a bit louder in games (can’t hear them through headphones anyway, PC is on the desk).

So I wanted to ask people with real Lian Li experience:

Fans

• How good are Lian Li fans overall?
• Are they actually quiet in real use?
• Which series would you recommend (SL Wireless / TL / Infinity / etc.)?

Software

• How is L-Connect these days?
• I’ve seen a lot of comments saying the software bugs out or randomly stops working.
• Is it stable now or still hit-or-miss?

AIO

Right now I use an NZXT Kraken Elite 360, and so far no issues. In games my 7800X3D usually sits around 50–55°C, so I’m pretty happy with that.

For Lian Li, what would you recommend: HydroShift or Galahad?

• Which cools better?
• Is the pump quiet?
• Any reliability issues?

Case

I’m looking at the O11 Dynamic Mini V2.

• How is it to build in?
• Good airflow / temps?
• Any annoying issues?
• Worth it over something like H9 Flow?

Hallo zusammen. Ich suche einen ergonomischen Gaming-Stuhl. Zur Einordnung: Ich bin eine Frau und 156 cm groß. Für mich ist es besonders wichtig, dass sich die Sitztiefe sowie die Höhe der Kopfstütze verstellen lassen.

Aktuell nutze ich den ASUS ROG Chariot und habe genau damit Probleme. Wegen meiner geringen Körpergröße sitzt das Kissen höher als mein Nacken, was unbequem ist. Durch die tiefe Sitzfläche sitze ich außerdem oft im Schneidersitz oder mit angezogenen Knien an der Brust – meine Knochen danken es mir nicht.

Ich möchte gern gerade sitzen können und mich auch nach hinten lehnen können, wenn ich mit Controller spiele. Eine Möglichkeit, die Beine auszustrecken, wäre ebenfalls praktisch, da ich mit den Füßen oft nicht richtig den Boden erreiche. Mir ist klar, dass man eine Fußstütze nutzen kann, aber vielleicht gibt es inzwischen Stühle mit solchen Funktionen?

Die Farbe sollte weiß oder schwarz sein. Falls jemand einen weißen Stuhl hat: Wie empfindlich ist er gegenüber Schmutz? Lohnt sich Weiß überhaupt?

Worauf sollte man bei der Auswahl noch achten? Gibt es vielleicht Shops, die ein oder zwei Wochen Probesitzen bzw. Rückgabe nach Test ermöglichen? Ich habe das Gefühl, dass man den Komfort eines Stuhls anders kaum beurteilen kann – ein paar Minuten probesitzen im Laden sagen wenig aus.

Mein Budget liegt bei etwa 200–300€.
