Grand Jury Summons - OH

I got a summons for a Grand Jury yesterday. They include two sets of dates as options to select a preference. The dates are each Wednesday for about two months. Am I correct in gathering that I will need to be at Jury Duty for all of those dates; going in once per week for a couple of months?

How do you make working full time work?

CP dad here. 19 month old twins. One has CP and one is running around.

Between what amounts to daily therapy appts, one or both being sick, and no family or backup childcare I am out of work all the time.

Thankfully my work has so far been beyond accommodating but idk…feels like it’s not sustainable long term.

We have a comfortable lifestyle and my income is a good portion of it. I also think I would have a hard time being happy staying at home full time (not really doable well with both with their own challenges).

What have others done?

Did you grieve

I’m 19 months in. Twin boys. One has cp and the further we go the further behind one boy is from the other and with no experience i fear he will be severely disabled and our lives will center around his disability for the rest of our lives.

I continue to grieve for something I never had. I’m reminded of it at every struggle.

Anybody else? Does it go away?

Just a vent to those who might understand

I have 18 month old twin boys and my spouse took one of them back to his hometown for a few days for his grandmother‘s funeral and I stayed behind with our boy with cerebral palsy. He doesn’t sleep well so the last couple of nights have been really rough doing it solo. I had planned to take the day off from work today after taking him to daycare. I was gonna go to the gym and get the house ready for some weekend guests and just have a needed break. I get to the daycare parking lot and they have no power. I can’t describe to you how disappointed I was. My spouse gets back today. I really need a break.

Accessible plans

My 18month old son may need to use a wheelchair well into childhood and beyond. We currently live in a midcentury home with lots of 2 step level changes. Where can I go to understand how to design for accessibility? What features should be incorporated? We are in the “thinking about it” phase so I’m hungry to sketch out some cool solutions.
