[IND] Psychology student in India how do I get into UX Research and eventually companies like Google?

Hi everyone,
I’m a 19 year old Psychology student in India currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree. Recently, I became interested in UX Research because it seems to combine psychology, research, and understanding human behavior.

I have a few questions:
What is the typical path from a Psychology degree to UX Research?
Is a bachelor’s degree enough, or is a Master’s usually required?
Do I need to learn coding (Python, Java, etc.), and if so, how much?
What skills should I start building while I’m still in college?
What kinds of internships or projects would help me stand out?
Has anyone here with a Psychology background successfully transitioned into UX Research or a role at a company like Google?
I’d especially love to hear from people in India who have followed this path.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

[IND] Psychology student motivation

Ever since i started my specialization in psych i have read so many posts and everyone says that they regret taking psychology as there are barely any job opportunities or places to work and even if there are there’s no sufficient pay for it.
If someone could pls give some positive reviews or tell their own experience where they don’t actually regret choosing psychology as their career path.

[IND] Does anyone else think Psychology + AI could create more career opportunities?

I’ve noticed that a lot of psychology students worry they’ve chosen the wrong major because they don’t see many job opportunities after graduation. I’ve had those thoughts too.
But lately I’ve been wondering if combining psychology with AI might change things. AI is growing rapidly, and understanding human behaviour, cognition, emotions, user experience, ethics, and mental health seems like it could become increasingly valuable.
I know AI won’t replace psychologists, but I do think it could create new roles where psychology and technology overlap.
Am I being too optimistic, or do you think Psychology + AI has real potential? Are there any career paths or skills psychology students should start learning now to prepare for this?
