Season 3 of Dead Letter Bureau starts now with spec ops in Afghanistan

Today, the show kicks off its third season. The first two episodes are a sort of prequel set in Afghanistan before 9/11. A team is hunting down an old Soviet bunker. If the organization knows about it, you can be sure that someone else does too...

Cinematic AP of Pirate Borg's The Sinking of C'Thagn

Ayo!

Our crew played through The Sinking of C'Thagn. Our show is usually Delta Green, but we wanted to hit the seas for a little interlude. It turned out to be some of our best work and performance.

If you are thinking of running C'Thagn or just like pirates and Mythos, I hope you give us a listen. If you do, please let me know what you think.

We fully edit all the dialogue (audiobook quality) and add cinematic music with sound effects.

Wrapping up our adaption of the story of Abraham for Mörk Borg - Actual Play

The ‌newest ‌session ‌is up, and it plays out like a full-on display of bad judgment. I threw together a Mörk Borg scenario at the last minute and, unsurprisingly, it immediately spiraled into chaos (and hilarity).

Tune in while our miserable anti-heroes try to slip into a mountain cult by slicing bloody runes into their own foreheads, then kicking off a huge grease fire thanks to a human-fat lamp. Add a cursed obsidian knife, a frantic scramble up a cliff face, and you’ve got our last episode of Fear and Trembling. Let me know what you thought. I hope you enjoy.

Fear and Trembling - Mörk Borg Actual Play (Ep. 1)

Hey, I'm Nick, and I run an AP show called Dead Letter Bureau. We usually run Delta Green, but this summer we are stripping things down to the bone for an OSR run. We sound-design all of our episodes so the APs play like an audio drama, and we edit them to be snappy.

Our first Mörk Borg episode just released. It is a playtest of Fear and Trembling, a scenario from The Unholy Bible, an adaptation of the Old Testament I am currently writing. Yes, it will probably be offensive.

In this episode, we dragged two scumbags to a mountain to stop an old man from sacrificing his son... and meet a literal scapegoat.

I hope you give it a try and tell me what you think! We've considered creating a show to run OSR-type games in the future, so any feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

"How much meat is this worth to you?" - Our Trophy Dark Incursion into The Plantation is live!

We took a short break from our normal programming over at Dead Letter Bureau to run a Trophy Dark one-shot, and the episode is officially live today. I jumped into the Keeper seat to run The Plantation, which is an incredible, filthy incursion. It is dark, it is heavy, and the guys played their drives and ruins to perfection right up to the final breath. You can find the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your audio by searching for Dead Letter Bureau. Hope y'all enjoy it.

Four sleep-deprived agents, 600 pounds of pressurized poison, and a ceiling made of tendrils. The Damnatio Memoriae finale is here!

Hey everyone, Nick here. We just wrapped up our Damnatio Memoriae campaign with today's release.

Listen here!

I won't spoil where the dice land, but I will say this session pushed our table to a place we’ve never really been before. The setup going into the finale is clinical... It’s 6AM, our sleep-deprived agents are running entirely on stims and pure stubbornness, and we’ve just wheeled 200-pound cylinders of industrial chemical weapons into the basement of a condemned downtown department store to locate the physical vector of a memory-eating contagion.

Patrick (Handler) and Hank (Damnatio Memoriae writer) put together a brutal and emotionally heavy scenario for us. There is a moment in this episode where the game stops asking the players to roll their guns and just asks them to sit down and look at the terrible math of what their characters are willing to amputate from their own lives to get the job done. No heroic monologues, just four exhausted guys trying to figure out how to get the job done.

Massive thanks to Sam and Jimmy from Hand on the Door for bleeding alongside Jordan and me this season. If you’ve been waiting for the campaign to finish so you can binge the whole run, the vault is officially open.

New Damnatio Memoriae episode out, all about establishing environmental dread before a final tactical deployment

Our agents breach the loading docks of a massive, condemned downtown department store at 6 AM, rolling 600 pounds of industrial gas in behind them. Instead of finding cultists or monsters, they discover that the building’s HVAC systems have been entirely replaced by corrugated, expandable tubes of textured flesh. The walls are literally breathing, using thousands of geometric, shifting muscle apertures to manually pump air and vocalize a whispered, industrial-scale projection of a ritual chant across a four-block radius.

Next week, we drop the Damnatio Memoriae finale! Hope you enjoy the lead up.

Using an automated payroll system architecture to track an unkillable vector when human memory fails.

If you want to see an intersection of bureaucratic sleuthing and raw body horror, the latest episode of our campaign delivers.

Our cell arrives at a black-mold-infested apartment at 5:00 AM, completely sleep-deprived and operating on prescription stimulants. Because the environmental contagion systematically forces human beings to forget the target's entire existence, our corporate director targets the data that can't be forgotten... automated business software. By pulling pay stubs from a local coffee shop, the team realizes the automated system has been continuously printing zero-dollar receipts to our unkillable witness for four years straight because the algorithm lacks the consciousness to wipe.

[Actual Play] Running from a REM-sleep contagion with 600lbs of Phosgene gas in a stolen minivan.

If you want a clinical look at how Delta Green characters systematically amputate their own humanity to achieve an objective, the latest episode of our campaign (Damnatio Memoriae) is an absolute psychological meat-grinder.

The setup: It’s 3:00 AM. Our cell is barreling down the highway in a stolen minivan with three 200-pound cylinders of industrial chemical weapons chained to the back seats. The team is running on pure adrenaline and zero sleep because our Handler introduced an environmental mechanic that makes sleep a literal death sentence. To stay awake, half the team is undergoing makeshift back-of-the-van surgery while our manic, delusional driver is blasting Christian Kidz Bop to keep us awake.

Then, the personal phone rings.

The vector doesn't just stay at the crime scene, it follows you home. A localized crisis erupts on the other end of the line, threatening everything our lead agent has left in the real world.

When the scenario mechanics actively forbid your players from taking a Long Rest

We just entered the final scenario of our Damnatio Memoriae AP, and our Handler hit us with an absolute nightmare of an environmental mechanic. Every time the characters enter REM sleep, they loop through a 25-minute terror sequence that forces them to attack each other, meaning they are playing through a high-stakes investigation on zero sleep with their sanity slipping away in real-time.

This episode features a $6,000 black-market deal for Phosgene gas with a militia extremist, an agent attempting to cure a nightmare loop by overdosing on downers, and our corporate director wandering around with a white shirt soaked through with blood from a ritual carving, casually calling his teammates "acolytes." If you like your horror crunchy, clinical, and profoundly stressful, come listen to our campaign find its breaking point.

When the trauma slams back so hard the team starts shooting

The finale arc of Damnatio Memoriae is here, and it started with a literal bang. We just had a session where four years of forgotten Sanity loss hit the agents at once. One agent decided he was Jesus, another started suppressive fire with a stolen SMG, and the pro scientist tried to use ritual magic to fix it all. If you want to see what a Breaking Point really looks like in Delta Green, especially when it involves a messianic CEO and a metallurgist’s backyard foundry, check out Episode 9.

DG hang outs at Gen Con?

Hey! If you'll be at Gen Con, I'd love to hang out! I host a Delta Green podcast, and would love to meet up with people from the community. Tomorrow (5/17), all the events go live, so after ya'll know your schedules, it would be cool to organize something. It could even be just a short chat. I'll also be trying to get tickets to Arc Dreams event and the Handler 101 panel.

I am also running a bunch of Pirate Borg games. Here are the links to my tables below. It would be sick to hang out and run for some fellow mythos sickos and bring some DG insanity to Pirate Borg and scare some OSR kids 😄

[Actual Play] When the mission is so bad your brain literally deletes it

We just wrapped up the second scenario of our Damnatio Memoriae arc, "Herostratus," and it was a roller-coaster of psychological horror. After reality tore open in a modernist mansion, the team had to deal with an invulnerable witness and a cover story that required framing a dead cop. It all culminated in a midnight boat pyre and a slow, haunting epilogue where the characters' memories were systematically scrubbed by the unnatural. If you want to see how Delta Green handles "Mission Failure" when the failure is written into the fabric of time itself. Thank you for listening!

Hey mythos lovers...

We just released the latest episode of our Damnatio Memoriae campaign, and I’m dying for people to hear it. This session was a lesson in how a high-stakes cosmic horror investigation can turn into the most intense chaos the moment the dice turn cold. We went into a modernist mansion on San Juan Island expecting a grisly forensic sweep of a triple-decapitation and ended up with a rescue attempt that resulted in an agent accidentally kneecapping their own teammate. >!On top of that, we had to deal with a witness whose head literally collapsed into a black hole and with a!< "clean-up" order that our guest operative interpreted very differently, resulting in one of the funniest miscommunications I've had in a game.

As always, thank you for the support and listening!

The crew heads back in time in this episode. The second scenario in Damnatio Memoriae is heating up. Thank you for listening!

The air was salt and stagnant diesel, and the man waiting on the bench was the greatest mystery of all: Agent Liam. Younger, sharper, his face yet unmarred by the scrubbing that would one day turn him into the hollowed-out wreck known as Roger Douglas.

Madison’s briefing was a collection of uncomfortable facts: a modernist villa on San Juan Island, three decapitated bodies, and a Guru who claims he was merely traveling through a meditative trance when the heads were taken. It is the sort of story the deep state would call a messy distraction, but for Delta Green, it’s a siren song.
