Our Tax Money, Their Security: Why So Much Protection for Political Leaders?

Today in Fikkal, Ilam, I saw KP Oli in my hometown with what looked like an enormous security convoy. There were around 20 vehicles, and roughly 10 12 of them appeared to be police vehicles. Honestly I was shocked.

What the hell is this? Why does a former prime minister need this much security, and who is paying for it? At the end of the day, it is public money our tax money.

And what is wrong with this, fkin Balen? If you are going to lead this country, don't just talk about change show the courage to hold powerful people accountable.

For me, corruption and political violence should never be protected by political power. Anyone involved in corruption over the past 35 years, or anyone responsible for the deaths and violence surrounding the Bhadra 23 24 incidents, should face a proper independent investigation and, if found guilty, the strongest punishment allowed under the law.

I personally believe KP Oli should be held accountable for what I consider his responsibility in these events. I also call him a murderer.

I don't want politicians to be treated like kings. I don't care whether it is UML, Congress, Maoist, RSP, or any other party. If you commit a crime, you should face the law. If you steal public money, you should face the law. If you are responsible for someone's death, you should face the law.

We don't need political leaders protected from the people. We need a system where politicians are afraid of breaking the law because they know they will actually be held accountable.

This is our tax money. This is our country. And citizens have every right to ask: WHY?My mind is traumatized seeing his support and slogons saying kp Oli jindabad if I really want to praise someone praise your mom dad...

The State of Our Political Consciousness

Today, seeing people pray in front of Sher Bahadur Deuba as if he were a divine figure made me question our political consciousness. A leader is a public servant, not a god. We should respect individuals, but never surrender our ability to question, criticize, and demand accountability.

Nepal has seen the same political faces return to power again and again, while ordinary citizens continue to struggle with corruption, poor governance, and broken promises. The real tragedy is not only what politicians do—it is how easily we allow ourselves to be manipulated by them.

And when Nepalis attack each other on social media instead of questioning those in power, we only strengthen the system that divides us.

Democracy means thinking freely, questioning leaders, and holding them accountable—not worshipping them. 🇳🇵

If we want a better Nepal, the change must begin with our mindset and political consciousness. If this is what the democracy means I want dictatorship
