(NOT DCU) Both Frank Gallaghers as Gordon & Bullock

I know I'm repeating myself since I already posted about him before, but William H. Macy has always been a phenomenal actor and would have captured those exhausted Jim Gordon vibes perfectly.

On the other hand, David Threlfall was the literal spitting image of Harvey Bullock. Fun fact: both Bullock and Gallagher share deep Irish roots, which would have made this parallel even better.

It's hilarious that both played the exact same character in Shameless and would have made such a killer duo back then. What do you think?

My fancast for the (incomplete) Bat-Family (Read below for my reasons before commenting)

• Batman (Bruce Wayne) — Eric Bana (58 y.o. / 189 cm.): I know most of you will instantly look at his "nice guy" face and think he doesn't fit. However, looking at his performances in films like Troy and Hanna, Bana has proven he possesses the exact aura required: a blend of gravitas, inner strength, and a dramatic intensity that perfectly captures a brooding Bruce Wayne carrying a heavy burden.

• Nightwing (Dick Grayson) — Adrian Grenier (49 y.o. / 179 cm.): Visually, he is a perfect match for the comic panels. Beyond the striking resemblance, Grenier has that effortless, natural charisma and charm he displayed so well in projects like Entourage, which is essential for the natural leader of the Bat-Family.

• Red Hood (Jason Todd) — Chris Zylka (41 y.o. / 185 cm.): Known for playing Flash Thompson in The Amazing Spider-Man, Zylka truly showed his dramatic range in the series The Leftovers. He has the ideal physical presence, the sharp gaze, and that specific brooding energy needed to portray a deeply conflicted, post-Lazarus Pit Jason Todd.

• Red Robin (Tim Drake) — Mackenyu (30 y.o. / 176 cm.): I've always envisioned an Asian-American interpretation for Tim Drake, and Mackenyu fits flawlessly. Not only is he an elite martial artist (as seen in One Piece), but he has the rare ability to project both top-tier physical credibility and the sharp, analytical intellect that defines the most cerebral Robin.

What do you guys think?

Let’s see if for once you guys can actually have a normal discussion without unleashing the usual toxic keyboard-warrior energy or throwing baseless accusations around. That is, if you're even capable of it and it's not asking too much❤️

Hear me out: Oliver Masucci as Magneto (Read the text before commenting!)

First of all, shoutout to u/Educational-Mode-629 for the idea!

Hear me out, I know this sounds wild at first.

Yes, I know Masucci is famous for playing Hitler in the satire Look Who's Back, which is a massive contrast given Magneto's background. But if you look past that irony, he is pure perfection for the role:

He has incredible screen presence and intensity (just watch him in Dark).

He absolutely excels at playing tragic, angry, and deeply complex characters.

His look and native accent would bring so much authenticity to Erik’s European roots.

If Marvel wants a mature, commanding Magneto who can deliver a powerhouse dramatic performance, he’d kill it. What do you guys think?

(Friendly reminder that you can make a point without being toxic)

Odessa A'zion as Scarlet Witch in MCU

Odessa A'zion has been very popular in fancasts lately, especially for Rogue or Wonder Woman. However, looking at Scarlet Witch's portrayal in the comics, she strongly reminds me of Odessa. She has the exact same look and vibe.

I know many fans prefer Gratiela Brancusi for the role of Wanda, but personally, I think she would be a much better fit for Magda, Wanda's mother.

Matt Smith as The Riddler in James Gunn's DCU

(third fancast's a charm, then I swear I'll take a break) I know I'm not the first to say this, but Matt Smith would be a perfect Riddler.

His range is insane: he can switch from youthful and playful to dark and melancholic in a heartbeat. Everyone usually picks his fellow Doctor, David Tennant, for this role. But if we want a more disturbed and darker version, Matt Smith is just a better fit.

An unconventional fancast: William H. Macy as Jim Gordon

Following up on my Gerard Butler Batman post, anyone who watched this actor in Shameless knows he is in incredible shape and has massive acting range. He would be perfect for an authoritative yet tormented take on Jim Gordon. While he fit a standard-age Gordon back in the early 2000s, he would be absolutely perfect for the older version right now

Old but Gold: early 2000s Gerard Butler as Batman

Call me repetitive, but early 2000s Gerard Butler was the perfect Batman. Physically, he was literally Bruce Wayne: 1.88m, dark hair, blue eyes, and a muscular build. He would have had the incredible ability to go from a sexy, high-society bachelor to the rugged, brutal guy you need under the cowl.

The only downside is that over the last decade, he’s clearly gained weight, especially in his face, so he doesn't really look the part anymore. Unless, of course, we're talking about a representation of Frank Miller’s bulky Batman.
