Building a fashionable wardrobe out of easy-to-wash materials?

Hi everyone! I'm a guy whose proportions are very made-to-measure, so every piece of nicer clothing I'm buying needs to last. I do want a variety of textures in my clothing, so this won't fully limit my wardrobe, but I'd love recommedations for fabric materials that are relatively simple to tailor and wash. I'm trying to stay away from too much wool or silk, for example, even though these are lovely materials.

What materials make for quality clothing worth the made-to-measure process and have easy upkeep?

Thank you all for the Abbreviated recommendation!

As a 32W-25L guy I've never had jeans fit me this well, let alone own pants with a no break length! The silouette is incredible too. This is a totally different quality than Under 5'10" or Peter Manning.

You all rock.

(This post is not in any way sponsored, I just feel blessed lol.)

Do I need a 3-piece as the groom? Otherwise, what about dancing?

Hey all. I got a great suit MTM but I'm wondering if I should add a vest for dancetime comfort after the ceremony and dinner. Would I look ok without one, just dress shirt + suit pants?

(I was considering suspenders for function but I don't know if I like that look without a jacket...)

Practically, I know I'm not going to wear a jacket on the dance floor. I could always do some sort of outfit change but I don't know what I would switch to. I'm concerned with still looking formal enough as the groom, though dress code will likely be semi-formal.

The place I got MTM does vests too so adding one is an option but it's $400 I'm not sure I should spend. My proportions mean I can't get anything OTR.

I know a lot is going on in this post and I appreciate any answer. Thanks!

How to choose and word a helpful dress code for my wedding?

What it says on the tin. Getting married next year June in the evening in a ballroom with a buffet meal and open bar, if you want the vibes, but I do mean the question in a general sense. What do you appreciate about a dress code?

Follow-up: what is a good dress code for letting people dress up if they want to or not stress if they don't? Is it even possible to mix without being awkward in atmosphere and photos?

I don't want anyone to feel over- or under-dressed. I just want everyone to have a confident good time, if possible.

Thanks!

Nontraditional color groomsmen suits - rude or ok?

Hi everyone.

I kind of want to go with light blue suits for the groomsmen for a June wedding. I'm wearing a deep-but-bright blue suit (I don't have pics sorry it's being made) and I'm worried navy won't be a sharp enough contrast, and I don't like the idea of dark gray suits, especially if charcoal due to summer vibes. Is it rude for me to ask for a light blue or light gray if I'm not paying? I feel like those are still useful colors but they likely don't already have them.

If you think it's too big an ask, what can I do to lighten the groomsmen up instead? I'm sort of attached to the idea, but maybe ties are a compromise?

Thanks for any advice!

Best Man choices out of town

Hi all.

Trying to pick a Best Man and I'm having trouble because my two best choices live out-of-town atm and I don't know how soon before the wedding they'll be around. The Groomsmen though are in town. I don't feel like any of the Groomsmen are quite close enough to me to be Best Man instead: they're all newer friendships, and I do really want my brother or my best friend in that role. I could be convinced otherwise though.

How do people handle this? I wouldn't care if it were just titles but I know planning and coordination is usually involved and I might be a little sad if my Best Man does none of that.

(I also think maybe every option for Best Man AND the Groomsmen are ADHD lol, and not in my planning hyperfixation way, but that's another issue. If I end up doing everything myself, so be it, but I don't want to have to by default, if that makes sense.)

Thank you for any advice!

TLDR: It is reasonable for someone out-of-town to be Best Man or should I go with someone local? If ok, what should an out-of-town Best Man be expected to do?

[$10k or less] What features are necessary/nice for a wedding with overseas family?

Hi! I'm looking to have a wedding where some of the family will be coming from overseas to attend. I probably need to pay for their hotel rooms (I think?), and I'm wondering what else is.. polite.. to have? For example, is cake and punch for food too little, considering they'd need to eat real food *somewhere* that day? Should I have a welcome and/or farewell dinner? Other considerations?

Thanks!
