I was first in a relationship for about a year and a half. Things seemed good, and then the guy ended it with “you're so perfect, I just wish I hadn't met you on a dating app.” And that was that. It took me a while to recover from that one.
Eventually, I started dating again, and got into another relationship. About a year and two months in, he started becoming increasingly toxic, like belittling me and my work. It felt like he was very very insecure about himself. Then it's done.
After that I dated someone, he also worked in aviation, and I was very clear from the beginning that I wanted a monogamous relationship. Four months later, he casually mentioned that he was making out with someone else. So I walked away. All these happened in a span of 6 years btw. Not back to back.
And honestly, I'm tired.
I gave and gave and somehow got almost nothing back.
Whenever I see posts or comments from men talking about how their ex cheated on them, I'm genuinely shocked coz I've never cheated on anyone. I've always been completely invested, loyal, and willing to put effort into my relationships. Yet somehow, nobody valued that. Or so it seemed.
