Just a quick talk (can be turned to irl if you guys would be intrested)

Hey i don't want to share too much but just some stuff , i know I'm just venting out , and it's human too but hear me out

I just don't see the point to anything ? (This is again in a non suicidal way ) I'm trying to phrase things so I just want you guys ,so be there with me

I as a human now see no purpose in anything , I lost belief in God as a kid ,there is some minor trauma stuff , again none of these matters are the end of today

I'm /was at a good point of life , I'm a college student , I've good marks I do my tasks at time , I've got a good internship going , I've everything a human needs , but I don't have that living element in me anymore , I'm not even vented out either , it's a mix of I don't belong , and I don't see the purpose , i can't get into the usual things that people like (sports gaming , etc ) I've on my own stuff i excel at ,but again those don't feel good either , its like saying I've everything and nothing at the same time , i don't see happiness at any point of my life , again therapy won't help lmao , I've fixed my life even at the goodest points i can't be happy , I've anhedonia ? If that makes sense to anyone , it's been around 3-4 years , and dp dr , which just makes me not feel like me anymore , i just don't know , what to say even 😭

Again ik this server is not for this kinda stuff , sorry again

CS Students of shimoga ,Built a manga translator

Repository : https://github.com/gooptrooper649/manga-translate

i recently watched an anime called binchotan , the anime was great , but only 12 episodes thus when trying to look at the manga, there were no translations , being a tech nerd , i thought why not solve the problem and built this , sure its not perfect but i feel it does the job , batch processing is yet to be implemented

its currently -> open ai / deepseek/ gemini api compatible , as it runs on local host , there is no data being compromised , if anyone does use it please do tell me things to improve

tldr ; built a manga converter , easy enough to use (you can use antigravity to automate download and running part / though existing bat files exist for setup and running ), would ,love improvement requirements

A student seeking help!

Hey everyone I'm a student doing my engineering, while trying to fix my hinge problem , my display accidentally went dead , it will cost around 7k to fix it , which has a high chance of it going dead again

So there are a few alternatives I've tried or heard of , that i can still use (I've been using the laptop just fine even now for around 1 -1.5 months )

1)I plug my laptop with a hdmi cable and it works just fine (this is the primary way I work with on my tv)

2)I use the space desk app to configure it to my phone so i can use my phone as a display

  1. i wanted to build a portable monitor with my old 40 pin edp cable laptops (old ones ) - whose cost with the control board would cost the same and may not be durable

  2. i could buy a portable monitor ,but I won't be using it much (only when I'm out ,when I don't do much work ,also with this setup using hdmi I can only send video to the screen ,not get it back )

The best way i came up with is ,why not buy a second hand tablet ,using spacedesk on my phone stains my eyes (small display )

So if anyone has suggestions on how I can get a tablet (needs minimum requirement, just had to be higher than lolipop 5 - android version )

I came across an ipad (11k) which would also benefit me to read books and movies /also has good decent camera quality

If anybody has old tablets they would like to give away ,or maybe sell for cheaper I would highly appreciate it ,my budget is around 5-8k for a second hand tablet ,ive put my budget to 11k only for the iPad

If anybody can help me out ,it's much appreciated!🫡

Thank you once again

TLDR : student in financial stress ,could use a cheap tablet as a screen ,as laptops display got broken

Third chapter of the book , A thousand splendid suns

The book , none the less of what others tell me is a fiction based on reality , the occurrences in the book are far less compared to actual atrocities committed in real life

I've heard people say they believe in humanity , this book tells us to look farther from it , as we sit at our homes , and love our easy lives , people live in horrific conditions , war is never a good thing

It takes lives , it blunders the essence of humanity , we fall to levels we can never think of , I'm not against any religion , but this violates human sanctity of self respect , of humility , of basic human rights

Women all across the globe are mistreated to such a degree , and it's normalised, Is it so hard to treat everyone equally , why must We feed off each other , I'm not the one to be speaking of these , i have flaws of my own , but seeing how hard it is for people to behave as decent civilians, it's hard

Just finished part one of the book ( no spoilers please)

I don't want to talk about the book in particular but the topics it goes through

The last scene in the book is about rasheed literally making mariam chew on stones

It's awful how humans can treat other humans without doubt

Sure animals have their share of stuff , lions killing infant cubs whose father's were other lions , alot of bad stuff happens in the animal kingdom as well

But I feel , we can't put ourselves on a pedestal and say we're superior to animals , when we're the same way , we turn a blind eye to things that don't concern us , perform atrocious acts (i had a rant about creating dogs which i won't go into )

And we say and state ignorance is bliss and are inactive to action ,i just wonder where humanity goes from here ,i feel we're dooming ourself with out lack of moral values (I'm not being conservative, but just treat humans like humans ) ,classism based on "wealth ," religion ".

I feel as much as we humans are a rarity in the animal kingdom ,that rarity doesn't really matter like " diamonds ",only valued until the act is kept up and valueless when the " value " seen is gone

Discussing Bincho tan

Bincho tan is one of those anime's you dont come across usually , it was the same for me , i have'nt been into anime for a while , and only recently watched azumanga diaho, ichigo mashimaro (strawberry marshmallow ), im not sure what made the youtube algorithm want to to show me these , but im greatful

bincho tan is an anime , on the daily like of a little girl called bincho tan ( a play on the world charcoal ), bincho tan comes from a lonely household in the woods , she is a little girl , who becomes an orphan , after her only companion her grandma dies

this anime , literally made me gorge my eyes crying for the past 5 days , ive been watching a few episodes a day ,and at the end of each , one ive felt distraught

I feel hopeless when i see her condition , but her determination to keep going none the less of her circumstances, she wakes up everyday , she see's the positive things in life , and lives life to its fullest , I dont complain usually , but seeing her , i feel i have no right to , it may be an anime , but this is also the life of many children

need not be orphanated , but just orphanated with no connections , growing up i found it hard to be alone , ive only recently become more social in the few years

ive had anhedonia for a while , which made ,not feel for the longest time , i dont feel joy , sadness or anger , i feel like a husk of a human , i havent been able to cry for the longest time (1-1.5 years ), and this anime made me weep for all 5 days , it gives me hope that , with effort , you can achieve stuff , as slow as it may be , and its not artificial things that brings us happiness , but the connections we build , even now i live alone most of my time , so this really resonated with me

anyone , who just wants to watch a simple anime , which is cute and makes you want to gorge your eyes out is welcome to watch it

Bincho Tan

if anyone has watched it and would like to talk about it , please do comment or dm

Just finished" animal farm "

I'd just like to brief , about the story before I continue with my thoughts

The story surrounds a premise of a farm , with a farmer , who well is a farmer , animals are fed , they work , but they're under a human being , an animal conceptualizes the thought that , the human is bad and decides to create the ideology of animalism , where animals rule themselves

Soon enough an uprising occurs and themes of power are discussed how animals even though a slight bit fair at the beginning turn to something unruly

The last line pretty much summarises the context , but it's a worthwhile read , solid 7/10

Well here are my brief thoughts , I listened to "yeonmi park" ,in her podcast with Joe Rogan

She discusses how the themes are way similar to North korea (to summarise the situation in south korea // no rations at all , everyone must work , but are not entitled to food , eating rats /cannibalism is practiced, even feaces , which is like once a week/month kind of thing in North korea is collected by the regime for making fertilisers (the land is unfit for agriculture)).

I think the problem with humans and the animals in the book discussed are ignorance to what doesn't concern us directly , we stray from our ideals and manipulate them to fit our needs , when they are obviously not in anyone's best interest

So the question arises ,are we any different from the animals in the farm (there is no conclusion ,if the system is over thrown , the animals just willingly or unwillingly , accept their condition)

Just finished the book

I guess the book is average if anything , but the topic it covers are good , um it's a modern book I can say that , we have references to chatgpt and genz culture 😭,I didn't hate that

Um the book talks about being a young person , expecting a lot from love , the author talks about Bollywood doing much of that , well I don't wanna ruin the book if anyone wants to pick it up

Kind of somber in the middle because , one thing is you understand the author is young hence he's making all of these mistakes , at the end everything ties up giving you a hint about how to lead better relationships, either friendship or relationships

Give it a solid 5.5 /10 (it anybody has other good book recommendations do comment!) Ps: I'm not a psychopath the book got wet due to rain , I don't treat my books this way 😭

Hey peeps

Currently my display kinda stopped working , so I kinda removed the whole thing , I'm currently using my tv to operate it , using hdmi cable , I can't buy a new laptop or get it replaced due to financial situations for now ( I don't wanna burden my peeps )

I'm thinking of making a portable monitor by getting a lcd screen from a dead computer ,and get a board for it online

I'll use hdmi to get it to capture video

And I'll usb either usb /usb or usb to c (depending on the board )

If anyone can help me get screens please do help 🙏
