Foley catheter question

So I had my Foley placed on the 8th due to complete inability to void. I had done intermittent cathing before that but since I need to go over 6 times a day that insisted on a foley. I had my urodynamics done on the 4th. The test showed little muscle activity and the doc didn't explain why this is happening. He just scheduled me to have it changed out in 4 weeks and left it at that. I was reading that you can only have one for 4 months. What happens after that? I keep pulling the tubes apart while I sleep. So, I sleep on the couch and sitting up like that makes me toss and turn less and keep them together. Idk what does long term catheterization look like? I'm just struggling to adjust to these damn tubes

I'm having some urine issues and sometimes my underwear and leggings get urine on them. I don't want to walk around smelling like urine. I have a he front loading washer and I'm looking for additives to help remove the urine. Im using detergent sheets at the moment (fisroa laundry detergent sheets (plastic free)) as I'm trying to reduce my plastic use. But I'm willing to buy a bottle of anything right now to deal with this

I'm having my second episode of acute urinary retention in 1 year, extreme thirst/water intake, dry eyes/mouth, vaginal agitation noted on exam but swabs came back negative for yeast or infection. Currently in crisis due to water intake over 300 oz per day and urinary retention causing inability to urinate and bladder filling to 1000-1300 ml. I am having to use a straight catheter every few hours to drain urine from my bladder.

This bladder symptoms/thirst started last week.

I'm having a strange symptom of not feeling like I need to pee at all even when 1300 ml of urine is in my bladder. I feel loopy, agitated, my husband has told me I get very slow to respond. I feel an out of body experience and feel like I can't focus. Once I straight cath I feel better in about a half hour. Today with a urine output of 4,300 ml so far since waking (8 hours ago) I feel generally sick, unfocused, struggling to work my job.

Is there a name for this lack of feeling the urge to go and instead feeling confused? I've seen urology and PCP Monday this week. Urology has referred me to get uro dynamics done which is scheduled for next Monday. PCP is referring me to rheumatology since he suspects something autoimmune is going on. I've left a message with neurologist but haven't heard back.

Labs that have been done are basic metabolic panel, rheumatoid factor, and ssa ssb antibodies which all is looking normal.

I just started a new job so have no time off accrued to handle all these appointments.

Does anyone have any idea what the weird bladder sensation feeling off is about? Or what steps I can take from here. I have referrals in but I feel terrible and need relief now.

So I will need to do intermittent self catheterization for the next few months 6 times a day. I need to log the amount I'm cathing by doing it either into a hat or urinal. I'm going on a trip week after next for 3 days and will need to be cathing away from home. This is giving me a great deal of anxiety. So usually I wash my hands and use hand sanitizer, pull my pants down, put a chucks pad down below me covering my pants and underwear, do the deed into the urinal and throw away when I'm done. The pad is needed because I make a mess pulling it out. I have ordered pre lubricated straight caths so that will make things easier than my current setup. Idk what to do. Should I order like a special bag to hold my supplies? I need to full size urinal because some of my post voids are 1200 ml. Can I throw away the cath just like in the little bin used for sanitary pads in the public toilet? What about the chucks? It's kind of large and I don't want to be embarrassed taking that out of the stall to throw away in the main garbage. Omg this is soo stressful. At least I'm managing now being able to straight cath without a mirror. I've got this down. This is a nightmare. It's too late to cancel it and my whole family is getting together to see me. What do I do?
