Is it just me? I’ve just gotten to S2 ep 4 and I feel like I’ve fallen into a parallel dimension. All the characters look different. Kala does not look like herself, neither does Sun. Something about the lighting, the makeup, the clothes. Mimi looks different and so does Wolfgang. They look like people trying to look like the original cast.

They don’t even sound like they used to.

Help because I feel like I’m going crazy.

Note: I can’t edit the title but I mean ep 4.

I remember seeing this show being promoted heavily when it first came out, but literally nothing appealed to me. I don’t know if it was just a case of the trailers not resonating or where I was in my own life, but I had not one desire to watch it.

I randomly decided to give it another go the other day, and absolutely love it. I just started season 2 and I am already sad that there aren’t any more after this one.

Each episode feels movie quality and it’s such a fascinating concept. I get that it was expensive, but I wish Netflix would give series that require thought and time to build more time.

Instead we get 9000 seasons of Love Is Blind and crappy documentaries that feel rushed and not much better than tabloid journalism.

But right now, I am loving all these characters.

Lito, Sun and Wolfgang might be my favorites but they are all so well done.

Hi all, quick update.

Aug 2025: Application sent in and accepted.

Jun 17th, 2026: Appointment to show originals, sign Loyalitätserklärung

My caseworker said she would scan my application in this week, and then send it back to me in the mail. My case now goes on to Darmstadt and she said I would get three letters from them probably.

One to confirm receipt, one to give me waiting time and one with info on paying my €255 fee.

She said she was told 18-24 months waiting time, but can’t confirm.

EDIT: I know they are way backed up. I’m not expecting to hear anything until summer 2028 at the earliest.

Does anyone here work for LH?

If so, can you explain why you board by group numbers only to put us on a bus? There should either be two busses - one for groups 1 and 2, and one for the rest - or just general boarding. It makes no sense to call for an HON or SEN and then have everyone on the same bus all smooshed together.

Where is the logic? I’ve seen some busses for other airlines that had a retractable belt barrier in the bus, and then let certain groups off first. That makes sense.

Otherwise you’ve just basically removed the benefit for premium customers, with everyone running for the plane like we’re on EasyJet.

And to be fair, my main gripe with this is that it makes absolutely no sense and results in a hot mess for everyone involved.

Also, if I were someone in group 1 or 2, I’d be pretty annoyed if I found myself stampeded.

I’d love to understand this better.

I am watching S6, ep 7 and I just caught that the guy at IKEA says “thank you, that’s why I get out of the Nidargangur in the morning. It’s one of our cheaper beds”.

I looked it up and Niðurgangur means diarrhea in Icelandic 🤣

This show is the gift that keeps on giving.

Currently on LH923 and there is a patient with a medical emergency. It happened about 20 minutes before our scheduled landing time. This is the first time I’ve been on a flight where we needed to expedite landing so a medic can get on board. Huge props to the crew for the way they handled it and also to the rest of the passengers who actually stayed seated!

I don’t know what the issue was but I’m hoping the person is okay.

I live in Europe and this is my first trip back to the US in about 18 months. Just got to the UC in ORD and it is *raggedy*.

No snacks, just some sad Swedish meatballs, suspicious looking sandwiches and strange salads. The cheese cubes look and taste like plastic. They have a coffee set up that looks like a table in a church basement - it’s just really sad all around.

Is this the new normal? I used to love this club especially due to the snacks.
