Hello community i have regained an interest for the games, but am a little conflicted on what to play.

I played heroes III as a kid 20 years ago and love also really hooked on heroes V and heroes VII for a short while until last pc crashed.

I got a new nice setup and cant decide on where to go. Please come your personal favourites and why that is. Also a couple of noob tips to get a good start would be greatly appreciated.

I need some surgestions. pls help.

Im looking specifically for the mod that allows me to recruit LL (of the same faction) once they are wiped from the map. I really hate not being able to conf. My whole faction.

Also im looking for surgestions to mods that differ the game a little, not any cheats og giga overhauls, just "minor" to "mid" adjustments. Could be victory cons. Or lore acurate diplomacy.

I do enjoy the base/vanilla game and have been very restricted in mods, by choice, but now am willing to try small twists.

Im fairly open to any surgestions, pls feel free to add anything that might be of interest.

Lastly, im not sure have to activate mods so a short guide would be helpfull. TY
