My pretty hate machine

My first betta was extremely peaceful and never flared his whole life, then we got this guy who spends all day flaring at his snail neighbor and eats shrimp for fun. The nerite is going to go in a different tank today so neither of them get too stressed. Does anyone else have a betta that seems to be 2 inches of rage?

I’m obsessed with pygmy corydoras! so tiny and wiggly. I started with 8 and have 18 now!

What is everyone doing to keep their corys cool in the heatwave?

where I am it’s been 95F+ for days and my tanks are all sitting much warmer than normal, ranging from 77 unheated to 81 in my betta tank. So far my corys and hillstream loaches don’t look stressed but I worry that it may affect my fish long term. What temperature do you keep your corydoras at and what is it now? What are you doing (if anything) to lower temperatures in the tank? (pic for attention)

Where did they even get that???

Whole river monster in a 4ft tank with a small cluster of comet goldfish (?) in the top left to boot

My 10 gallon micropredatory tank!

stocked with 5 sparkling gourami, 2 B. xanthomelas bumblebee gobies, a male scarlet badis, and a female juvenile flagfish. It’s so fun watching them hunt down live baby brine shrimp.

is this blowout

My s/o’s betta has been regularly developing and healing these tears and pinholes in his fins over the past week. He’s in a fully cycled 10 gallon with shrimp and no other fish. Second pic is today and first pic is when we got him. He’s otherwise eating and swimming fine. we’ve had him since friday and this is my third fish tank and second betta (first one passed of old age)

Female amano shrimps?

I have like 7 amano shrimp that are 1.5-2 years old now, recently learned they were ALL male. I had the shrimply wonderful employee at the LFS help me with getting at least one, hopefully two females. I also have a bamboo shrimp, she’s about 2 inches and her name is daphne :)! Is anyone good at telling them apart at the lfs?
