now that we have a touch based Xteink and other devices (M5, Lilygo, Sticky), I am working on Display agnostic (1 bit to 4 bit dynamic support) operating system for esp32 s3.
I know it may add distraction in the sense that it will not be just for reading, but I wanted to gauge interest among people. Though I am developing it anyway.

So i have started following Xteink and considering lead time and features that i only see in Xteink X4 pro, I decided to buy a lilygo T5 H716 board with screen. By burning midnight oil i could port crossink.
However, even with the alternative drivers, the screen is nowhere near my kindle or Boox. Considering this screen supports 16 level grayscale and Xteink doesn't and has esp32 s3 vs esp32 c3 series in xteink, the screen output is abysmal,
It is fast no doubt, book reading and even comics are manageable, but i would love to see boox or kindle this size with the quality they are known for
I have bought a Lilygo T5 (H716 version) with touch support and flashed crosspoint for lilygo. but apparently not supported.
Is there any more details or someone was able to port crosspoint in this?

I was thinking of buying m5paper s3 or lilygo t5 as an alternative to mini reader and since i will be traveling to Germany, Berlin, is there a possibility to buy offline? Also can a used device be procured as i am short on budget too
This is what kindle was made for, read anywhere.
Edit: In order to avoid confusion, the bookshelf like interface is an alternative user selectable option. The default is still the original interface with added icons, and option to add shortcuts. in the menu.
Original post: I tried the new ZenUI beta and the developer is churning updates after updates and its looking fantastic, it also has a bookshelf like interface, new menu icons and an option to add shortcuts when in Zen mode.
There is a rumour (coming from neogaf and twitter) that bioware will have more layoff. With already a small team working on ME, not sure how things will be

Accordingly, I have prepared an app which is not only a beautiful looking RSS reader, but can export your RSS feed in beautiful ePub or PDF format with proper TOC.
This is the first iteration and I have more ideas to improve it even further (I know its a Niche App)
The images on play store are slightly outdated as the app now looks even better and is extremely nimble to run

I have been using saber on my custom rom samsung device for a while now and to my surprise i saw that it has now been optimised for onyx boox.
Tried it and it works great.

It seems that the battery inside my ageing onyx boox note 3 is swelling. I would like to replace it but since AliExpress is blocked in my location, where can get an alternative cell? Is it possible i can add any battery from other mobile phones to work?
