[Update/Announcement] AnimeXTV is Back up | Downtime & New Features: We've Added Full MyAnimeList (MAL) Support!

First off, a quick apology to the community here: we know we’ve posted about AnimeXTV recently, and we don't want to spam the subreddit. This will be our last post here, but we felt it was important to give a heads-up to anyone currently using the site who might have been confused by the recent issues.

For the last 6 hours, many of you noticed that AnimeXTV went completely down. We wanted to be fully transparent: the root cause of the outage was that AniList's API went down. Because our platform relied heavily on AniList for fetching data and syncing watch histories, their downtime unfortunately took our site down with it.

We realized that having a single point of failure isn't acceptable for a good streaming experience. So, our team has been working non-stop to build a backup.

We are excited to announce that we have officially added MyAnimeList (MAL) Support & full MAL Sync to AnimeXTV!

What this means:

  • No more single points of failure: If AniList ever goes down again, AnimeXTV will stay online. You can seamlessly toggle over to our new MAL integration.
  • Full MAL Sync: You can now log in with your MyAnimeList account to sync your watch history, update your lists, and track your episodes directly on AnimeXTV, just like you could with AniList.
  • More choices: You now have the freedom to choose your preferred tracker right from the navbar!

We really appreciate the patience of everyone who has been using the site while we sorted this out. We are committed to making AnimeXTV as stable and smooth as possible.

Thank you again to this community for checking us out, and we promise to stay out of your feeds from here on out!

Happy watching! 🍿

With so many sites going down, I built a clean client with AniList sync, Sub/Dub + captions, and history tracking (AnimeXTV)

Hi guys,

I'm a developer and I've been seeing a lot of sites going down very frequently lately, and the new ones popping up are just super choppy. To help fix that, I spent the last few weeks building a clean, fast alternative called AnimeXTV, and I've been continuously iterating on it.

It runs right in your browser and connects directly to your AniList profile.

The main highlights:

  • Seamless Sub/Dub + Captions: Dedicated support for both subbed and dubbed content with reliable captions and automatic language fallbacks so streams don't break.
  • Custom Playlists & AniList Sync: Create unlimited custom folders that automatically sync with your AniList profile in real-time.
  • Smart History Tracking: Automatically tracks your exact place and increments your AniList progress the moment you watch 85% of an episode.
  • Zero Ads: Just a fast, responsive, dark glassmorphic UI.(might have some player ads tho)

If you just want a clutter-free, smooth place to watch your backlog, feel free to give it a spin. Feedbacks are always welcome, so definitely let me know what you think or if there are any bugs/features you want me to look into!

P.S. I also ended up adding support for regular movies and TV shows over at streamxtv.tech if you ever want to watch something outside of anime.

Tired of bloated, generic anime sites? I built AnimeX—sleek cinematic UI, full AniList sync, and dual-audio (sub/dub) streams!

Hey everyone! I got tired of anime streaming sites being cluttered with pop-up ads or looking like generic templates. So I built AnimeX—a fast, clean, and completely free streaming platform.

Here's the quick breakdown:

  • 📺 Premium Cinematic UI: Dark-mode optimized with a gorgeous spotlight carousel, glassmorphism popovers, and a native-app feel on both desktop and mobile.
  • 🔊 Sub & Dub Toggle: Switch between Subbed and Dubbed streams on the fly.
  • 🛡️ Multiple Servers: Backed by a robust registry (MegaPlay, TryEmbed, VidNest) so you always have backup sources.
  • 🔄 Full AniList Sync: Log in securely via OAuth to instantly sync your lists, custom playlists, and recommendations.
  • 📅 Live Airing Schedule: Features a full weekly release calendar + a homepage sliding episode ticker.
  • ⏱️ Resume Watching: Tracks your progress and lets you jump back in with visual progress bars.

Check it out here: anime.streamxtv.tech

I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback! 🍿

Quick update for everyone already using StreamXTV: anime is now on the site.
It's a dedicated section, completely separate from the movies/TV flow —
different data, different player, controls actually suited to anime instead
of being shoehorned into the existing UI.

What's in it:
- New Anime page powered by AniList — every title, genre, score, and
trending list comes from there directly
- 18 AniList genres with Popular / Trending / Top Rated / Newest sorts
- AniList-only search bar built into the page (no more TMDB results clogging
anime queries)
- Full episode lists for ongoing shows — One Piece, Detective Conan etc.
paginate 24 at a time
- Audio/language picker: quick chips for Sub, Dub, English, French, German,
Spanish, Japanese — plus a Custom modal for anything else the player accepts
- Continue Watching, My List, and custom Watchlists all support anime now and
resume to the exact episode
- Description "Read more" so long synopses don't bury the page

Quality-of-life fixes that landed with it:
- Anime entries in Continue Watching no longer mis-route to the movie page
- Active episode auto-scrolls/page-jumps when you start playing
- Navbar search hides on the Anime tab so you don't get TMDB results in an
anime context

Head to the Anime tab to try it. If a title won't play, try changing the audio
language first — different languages route to different scrapers under the
hood, so a switch from "sub" to "english" often unblocks it.

Bugs, requests, and feedback welcome here or in our Discord. Cheers.

Hey everyone! Back with another update for StreamXTV. We’ve been focusing heavily on stability, performance, and removing friction from the viewing experience. Here’s what’s new:

Smart History Sync (Auto-Resume) You asked for it! Now, if you share or visit a direct play link (e.g., ?play=true), StreamXTV will automatically add that movie or episode to your Continue Watching section as soon as you land. No more manual tracking—your progress is saved the moment you start watching.

Server 2 Upgrade Massive update for Server 2! We’ve implemented a new, more stable embed format and added Multi-Language Dub support. You can now toggle between English, French, Spanish, and Hindi dubs directly from the dashboard.(This is beta update only so might not work at some places)

Targeted Player UX (Server 3) We noticed some sources had controls that were getting clipped on mobile. We've optimized the player height specifically for Server 3 to ensure all fullscreen and playback controls are fully accessible on all devices.

Cleaner, Faster Interface

  • Removed the Brave Banner: We’ve completely removed the browser recommendation popup and cleared all legacy storage. StreamXTV is now even more minimalist.
  • Performance Tweak: Optimized how we handle language options (Dubs) to reduce re-renders. Navigating the Details page is now noticeably snappier.
  • Bug Fixes: Resolved issues where TV show details would occasionally fail to sync with the current playing season/episode.

Recap of Features:

  • Ad-Light Experience: Clean, premium UI focused on the content.
  • Multi-Server Support: 10+ servers with Ad-Free badges for the best ones.
  • Continue Watching: Persisted history that remembers your spot across Movies and TV Shows.
  • Search & Filter: Search by title or filter by genre (Action, Sci-Fi, Horror, etc.).
