Hi all, I took a ton of photos at the recent Wonder Festival 2026 Shanghai and want to share. The first 17 are from dealer booths and last 3 are from corporate booths.
The event was 2 days and filled with tons of great works both from creators and companies.

I painted Liberalio!
The original prototype is by Deamhome and the kit is produced by Makegk.
I tried out Modelkasten GP-01, GrizzyPanda skin, for the skin painting. It works like a premixed batch of Gaianotes 059/060 surfacerless pink/orange.
I used Lascivus stocking black mixed with purple for the stocking. The lascivus by itself was pretty grainy especially if you're trying to paint thin and get the skin underneath to show through, but adding some opaque purple reduced its graininess.
The base under the stool was a clear acrylic base I printed dark purple water on with a eufyMake uv resin printer. I wanted to try to make it look like her promo image where she's over dark water.
I'm really happy with how she turned out in the end!

She was pretty fun to paint and put together (except for the hair, which was a bit tricky). I'm happy with her she turned out!

I wanted to get more practice painting skin. I used a mix of 5:3 Gaianotes 059 (Surfacerless Flesh Pink) and 060 (Orange), which is then mixed 1:3 with clear. I found Lascivus CL06 Clear White sprayed on top of the skin can desaturate the skin and make it look softer.
Overall she was pretty fun to paint and put together (except for the hair, which was a bit tricky). I'm happy with her she turned out!

Additionally, I got prepainted models from Yoshi and Isasa, garage kit zines from Zimmerit, and various stickers and posters from the many creators here. I think next year, I'll need a bigger suitcase.

Happy to see Wonder Festival expand to the west. There were some hiccups with licensing process from what I heard. The event onsite went pretty well. The big boss of Kaiyodo (managing company of WF), Shuichi Miyawaki, along with many other directors as well as famous Japanese artists and sculptors came over and held panels. It was great to meet and connect with everyone who share the same passion! Hopefully next year will be even better!

She is super adorable! The runway in the back can be detached. She looks great both with or without it!

It's my first time trying to paint a kit with white stocking. I layered thin light bits of clear pale red for the effect. It turned out really well!

I wanted to paint this kit to get more experience painting clear pieces and white stocking. The clear wasn't as hard as I thought. The white stocking, I tried out the new Lascivus stocking paint. Skin color doesn't show up well thru the white paint, so I did thin layers of clear pale red over it and that effect works out well. I'm happy with how she turned out!
