New front bumper from Bash Fabrication

These are not a production bumper, they're built to order on your vehicle but phew I don't think it gets much tighter.. do you guys like it with or without the stinger?

24yep $150 challenge update 4

Probably the last update. The rig is pretty much built other than maybe a little more hanger weight which I'll decide after some more testing before the challenge. Had the pleasure of stopping by #frontrangecrawlercompound to wheel with the man himself Josh, owner of NerdRC @u/j0520d while out on a trip to Denver. Thank you guys so much for the hospitality and tips!

I'm not going too much into detail but if you have any questions feel free to ask. I'll be doing a YouTube video soon with a build overview and some running footage. Both on our home course and the front range crew!

Thanks for taking a look at and following along with my entry build! It was super cool to see a couple other entries tonight as well and I can't wait to see some others from folks who aren't posting yet! Good luck everyone 🤘#hardlinetimberrc

24yup $150 challenge update 3

Not going into too much detail as there are so many small little things, will save that for the YouTube video that at this point will probably drop about time the due date rolls around. That being said I've gotten a lot of things done and it officially drives now. Body is cut and ready for paint. Just waiting on a few little accessories and have a few more items to fabricate to really push it over the top. There's a slick little cheat code built in. Enjoy the teasers. If you want to follow along on Instagram the channel is HardlineTimberRC 🤘

24Yep $150 build challenge update

Getting closer and closer. Finished up all the wheel faces, Tires will be here today. Ended up having to change the front links out to stock deadbolt lowers. Still running stock steering links as uppers both front and rear. The biggest accomplishment was revising the motor mount. Originally I decided the Nick albin/furitek mount height would be ok but after seeing it in the chassis I just wasn't happy with it so I came up with a new idea that has the motor mount bolt to the transmission skid itself which worked phenomenally at least under bench testing. This moved the motor down a very considerable amount as shown with the mofo motor in some images.

I shimmed the spur gear out every so slightly from the trans to allow just enough room for the surpass gecko esc to fit snuggly between it and the battery once it's in its dedicated space. Receiver could easily mount in the same spot on opposite side of trans and I may do this to keep weight bias closer to 50/50. (Currently at 49/51 with a 4g variance to the driver side (due to esc)). The micro receivers weigh 3.5g so it would get me very close to balanced. Front weight is 64/36 as of now with body, battery etc. so it's looking pretty good with an overall weight of roughly 360g!

Also got the full carrier bearing setup built and roughed in, the front and rear body mounts made. Need to knock out some sliders as this stuff is pretty slick and works very well. Finalize the body mounting and build driveshafts then it's on to testing!

24yep $150 Challenge build

This is just the test unit to see how my first ever homemade chassis design laid out and worked. The final will be a bit different in design with quite a few changes. Just wanted to throw it together first and see how v1 looked and did.

Running the max 155mm WB. Full brushless system, carrier bearing, meus v2 front, stock rear in final form, rampcrab 1.6 wheels on 57mm razor wires. Few custom touches. Still a long way to go but getting there current budget used is $145.

Hi, just wanted to drop in here and introduce myself. My name is Chad and I own Bash Fabrication LLC based in Columbia, SC. My company was building frames for Wander Tears based out of Aiken for a little while but since they have moved and are no longer producing full builds I wanted to put my info out there in case anyone was interested or looking for a frame either bare and ready for bolt ons or we can make them full rollers, coated and ready to go except we will pre run your wiring on a roller. We also are the originators of the timbren internal gusset kit which is an add on to gain maximum ground clearance underneath the frame by eliminating the connection tube between them. If you're interested in a build email us at bashfabricationllc @ gmail.com and we can discuss options. We offer all options that were originally available but also have plenty of ideas for more improved design. Our frames are fully welded and full tube construction. We use a jig for repeatability and usually can have them out in a week or 2.
