Commissioned image of the Lady of Pain (sketch)

Commissioned image of the Lady of Pain (sketch)

Hey there! I'm an artist, and I was recently commissioned to produce an image of the Lady of Pain, with Sigil in the background.

I absolutely love Placescape (specifically the 2nd edition version of it), so I was very excited for the opportunity to work on this - and I thought I'd share here!

This is the sketch that i sent the client, and if you guys like it, I'll share the finished version later on.

LANCASTER COMMISSION (completed)

3 weeks ago I posted the sketch for this commission here, and promised I'd post again once it was done.

Hey there! I'm O Abnormal, an RPG artist and about a month ago a client commissioned this image and that was my introduction to this incredible game. Since then, I've fallen in love with pretty much everything about it - but as an artist I have to say my favorite thing is the graphic design of it all.

I'll admit, at first when the client told me they had a Lancaster I was kinda hoping for a more "antropomorphic" mech, but along the way I fell in love with it and now I'm glad that this was my introduction to the world of Lancer.

In any case, as you can see, the image is complete now, and here it is!

If you're interested in commissioning art for me, send me a message and let's discuss your mech, pilot or both!

Lancaster commission

I'm O Abnormal, an RPG artist, and I recently got commissioned by a Lancer RPG player to produce an image of their Lancaster with the pilot on it.

I've worked with RPGs for years, but I'll admit, I had never even heard of Lancer RPG. So I went to look it up and immediately fell in love with its art and style. It is seriously one of the most beautiful and unique RPGs (art-wise) I have seen over the past few years and definitely a breath of fresh air compared to everything else that's available.

Anyway, I obviously took the commission and just got started on it today. It's in the sketch phase, still pending client approval, even. But I wanted to share it here, and perhaps show it again when it's done?

Facial expressions practice 2 - BLOODSPORT

Bloodsport is a movie about how the power of yelling and flashbacks will lead you to victory.

It stars Jean Claude Van Damme, and to know Van Damme's movies is to know Van Damme's butt.

But I'm not practicing drawing butts, I'm practicing drawing facial expressions (although, admittedly, Van Damme does have a very expressive butt).

This movie was just a goldmine of facial expressions to draw from, but I managed to bring it down to these 5.

Facial expressions sketch practice

As a bald man, I frequently get people telling me I am jealous of their hair.

I believe the answer to such a comment should always be "ARE YOU THULSA DOOM? No? Then there is no possible way I am jealous of your hair!"

Follicular perfection.

Here I was practicing faces, and I find it a fun exercise to just grab a movie from my hard drive, scroll through it and pause when I see faces that would be fun to practice with.

As you can see, this time the chosen movie was "Conan the Barbarian" from 1982, a movie about Thulsa Doom's wonderful hair and probably some other stuff, I dunno.
