I have a medical emergency at home and will have to cancel travel plans for the next two months.

I have a couple of non refundable Air India trips lined up, domestic as well as international.

Just wanted to ask if someone has tried raising refund request on medical grounds, and how did it go/what documents are needed?

Some of the tickets were booked directly and some via goibibo (the fare difference was 5k+ pp, thus via OTA)

Pasport renewal stuck with the status showing "Police report has been submitted by Local Police Station, Mumbai and sent to SP Office, District Mumbai for review."

It's been the same status since a week.

Any idea when it will move to the next/final stage and I get the passport? Thank you!

Both my wife and I have got 2 schengen visas in the past (before marriage). We are planning to apply together for a trip in October to the Italian embassy via VFS. I'm employed with an MNC and have all the requisite documents. My wife is also employed with a large firm but is on her notice period with no other offer in hand, so her employer has not granted her an NOC.

How should I proceed in this scenario? Should I call it out in the cover letter or ignore the NOC and just focus on other aspects (schengen visa history, Financials, my documents, etc.)

Also, we're planning to cover Italy, Germany, Netherlands. Do I need a) all internal city to city train tickets or b) country to country train tickets or c) not necessary, BOM to FCO and AMS to BOM flights are fine?
