My lease is coming up for renewal in a couple weeks and don’t plan on going anywhere. I got a renewal offer letter that said my rate would only go up $30 to sign another 15 month lease. I logged into the online portal and noticed that same increase still applies if I sign as short as 10 months.
Is there any reason or benefit to sign 10 vs 15 if it’s going to cost the same either way?
My buddy has a membership at a range with targets out to 1300 yards on the hills. Before today the only range I had easy access to had a single 200 yard bay and hitting 200 was almost as easy as hitting the 100 yards I’m zeroed to.
However today I was able to shoot out to 560 yards reliably which is about the max my old Nikon 3-7x can probably do. I even found a line of targets to hit in quick succession that were at 300 - 190 - 290 - 350 - 430 - 490. Felt pretty good to hit that line 6 for 6.
Then he asked me to spot when he pulled out his 6.5 Grendel hunting rifle. He took a couple 600 yard practice shots, jotted some notes down, added a few clicks to his turrets and says “I’m going for 1000” … then hits it first try. 😑
Long story short we attempted a code upgrade on a cluster. When we failed over to the upgraded node (passive node became active)…all hell seemingly broke loose. Traffic that should have been routed through the firewall to AWS got routed to another one of our DCs across the country. Traffic that should have stayed internal to the DC where the upgrade was done was getting sent to AWS.
One of the CLI screenshots we managed to get before we failed back and stabilized the environment showed that a sub interface which was configured to be in our “AWS” security zone had suddenly moved to our “transit” zone.
TAC said BGP could have done this if routes were improperly installed in the routing table.
Anyone experienced this? I have a few years experience with Palo Alto but over a decade with Juniper products. Interface and associated security zone configs are entirely separate areas from routing configs. One cannot change the other. If routes get installed wrong in the routing table, those interfaces just don’t pass any traffic.
Would Palo Alto really allow such a thing to happen?

Had a lady turn right into me at an intersection when I was passing through it, she had a red light and a yield sign she blew through so I thought it was a pretty cut and dry situation…she told her insurance and mine she had already turned far in advance of me passing through the intersection and changing lanes into her.
Her insurance says they won’t extend liability to me because it’s a he said/she said situation without dash cam video or witness statements…do I have any options left here or do I just take it up with my insurance and take the hit to my monthly rate?

Yes I’m still slapping the trigger a bit…got better at it toward the end. Scope was freshly zeroed out of a lead sled too so I look totally professional.
