Could some of Kyras’ loyalists have survived DOW2?

This is more speculative fiction than anything else. After dawn of war 2 retribution the chapter gets purged of its chaotic influences presumably. And in dow2 Apothecary Galan dies. But there is still some grey area. We don’t know what happened to Kyras’ Flagship, the Omina Arcanum (presumably recaptured) and we dont know what figures got corrupted. Presumably some of the unmentioned members of chapter command?

I’m asking for selfish reasons I’ll admit. I’m thinking of writing a short story about it the remnants of Kyras’s forces. But I’m also wondering if anyone thinks about Kyras’s loyalists. Even if they appeared in like 2 missions in most peoples least favorite expansion (retribution).

Thousand sons interactions with Non-TS tzeentchian war bands

Hello, I was just wondering if a Thousand Sons warband ever came across a war band or rogue chapter that had dedicated itself to tzeentch. I assume they wouldn’t really be best friends, infact I’d imagine they’d plot against each other or have terse relations. I couldn’t really find anything online about this, but maybe I’m just not looking hard enough.

Are there any documented interactions of this?

Should Cyberpunk be considered an RPG?

I saw a tweet that really captures my feelings about the lacking role playing mechanics of cyberpunk. I know it’s beating a dead horse but I think it has to be brought up again in anticipation of the next cyberpunk game that’s coming in a few years. I like cyberpunk, it’s fun, the cyberware is cool. But I never felt like I had a real freedom to create my own identity while doing the story and side-quests. I could never really be evil in any meaningful way, nor could I go work for another corporation or do Gigs for corporations as a corpo. I could only really be a Edgerunner with a Corpo background. I also felt this way while playing a nomad, I was thinking to myself “why can’t I help the raffen shiv instead of the aldecaldos, what if I want to be a raffen?” I think if cyberpunk wants to call itself an RPG, it has to reduce the amount of backstory the game gives the player character. Ideally in a RPG, you are crafting your characters backstory and the quest lines reflect how you interact with the world as that person you crafted. My issue with V is that no matter what your background, everything feels sameish, no matter your backstory. You’re always friends with Jackie and you’re always pretty much either a good guy or morally grey. Some might say “why would you want to side with a corporation in a setting about them dominating the world”, that is what makes them so interesting and also all the cool tech they have. I wish CDPR in the future would just let the player fill in the gaps, and give them more choices on who to side with in the world. My opinions on how to facilitate this are doubtlessly controversial. I believe that the protagonist shouldn’t be voiced in order to allow for more dialogue options in a dialogue tree for instance and I don’t think there should be prologue missions for each background. Instead you’re given a dozen or so backgrounds that give different traits for your character and some dialogue. I’m not saying you have to agree with this, but what I am saying is that there is so much potential for cyberpunk to be a truly great roleplaying game with an amazing setting. I’m cautiously optimistic about the future of the series. Anyways, what do you think?

Tony liking Art of war over The Prince

I found it interesting Tony liked the art of war over Machiavelli. It shows how Tony views himself as a general leading an army. He has a perception of himself as a warrior of sorts. But the art of war is actually a less helpful text to reference when it comes to governance. Despite “our thing” having titles such as soldiers and captains, it’s more of a polity/state than an actual army. The more clear headed characters in the show such as carmine lupertazzi recognize this reality and recognize the mob is more Economic organization than a military one. Most of the time, the Dimeos are at peace and as such have no need for war. The Prince teaches how to appease and balance the interests of different groups to achieve prosperity and avoid war and most of all, keep stability in your own polity.the prince also teaches how to put other polities under your control effectively. Tony really would benefit from these lessons in my view. I think Tony not liking the prince and Machiavelli represents Tony’s emotionality, he is unable to embrace Machiavellianism because he has too much emotionality and anger to really put it into practice, thus he tends to see himself as a conquering general. What do you guys think?

I think Ralph is the funniest character on the show

His unrepentant degeneracy and evil consistently manages to make me laugh. “Why was I born handsome instead of rich” before killing Tracey, hating on Jews infront of AJ’s half Jewish friend “anyways he knows it’s all in good fun” and prank calling Paulies’ aunt got good laughs out of me. I think a good part of it is that Joe pantoliano is a great actor but also that fact that Ralph as a character leans into the worst parts of mob culture instead of pretending he’s some great guy.
