Phone on DnD. Will I be reprimanded for not answering their calls?

I started 3 weeks ago, and do 3 days a week. They called me this morning, I missed it since I was asleep and my phones on DnD. They called again 30 minutes ago. Tbh as much as I need a job, I simply don’t want to be bothered on my days off. I work hard on my scheduled shifts but I just don’t want to come in on days off. Will they say anything in person about me not picking up their calls?

Would warehouses hire me as a 4’11 woman?

Sorry if this sounds blatantly stupid.

But would warehouses realistically hire a woman who’s 4’11? at an interview, they’d see i’m short and would have less strength compared to a man. i’d get id they were desperate and needed anyone id have a shot. but if i applied, and there’s multiple applicants, with taller people, and men, would they even give me a chance knowing they could have male workers who would be able to physically handle more tasks

CMHT said they think i’m neurodivergent but didn’t explain further

I was referred to CMHT after starting antidepressants for depression and suicidal thoughts, which resulted in severe side effects. I was advised to stop taking the medication, had the initial appointment, was told i’d be given a named worker and a psychiatrist referral. They also allowed me to start mirtazipane and propranolol.

I’ve had 2 appointments with my named worker so far, one a week. On my second one, she mentioned that her colleagues, based on what they’ve heard about me think i’m neurodivergent. I asked her what it means as i’ve done talking therapy for OCD back in 2020, so i kind of assumed OCD is what they’re talking about. But then she said woman tend to mask but didn’t clarify further. i’m just slightly confused on what’s happening. 😭

i have another appointment online this friday. but i don’t know what the outcomes of these meetings are before the psychiatrist sees me. and what the psychiatrist will do. does anyone have any experience with a named worker and a psychiatrist under CMHT?

No outdoor seating just for you

I used to be a manager for a pancake desert cafe. We had outdoor seating for about a month whilst waiting for the licensing to be officialised. We were then told to remove it and wait for the license or pay a fine. Entitled lady lived in a flat above our cafe. Every time she came in, she’d order a latte, ask for a discount as she lived upstairs and then sit on the outdoor seating for hours to people watch.

Once we got rid of the seating, she’d come down every day and ask for us to put down one single table and chair so she could people watch. Each time i’d tell her we can’t until the license comes through. Now our cafe was on a busy high street, cafes surrounding us who also had their own outside seating. She’d say things like ‘but i live upstairs so if you can just do it for me.’ but we would never give in. We had plenty of seating inside, with seats facing the window too.

Our cafe specialised in fresh soufflé pancakes with the process taking around 20 minutes for a batch of 4. No matter how busy it was, she would keep pestering us for those seats. When she realised I wouldn’t risk a fine for her, she would wait till I wasn’t at the store front, and tell my staff to bring out a table and chair outside for her, and tell them I gave her special permission. They of course didn’t. She would also tell them i must be an abusive boss if i won’t let them make their own decisions.

On a busy morning shift on my own, making pancakes, coffees, savoury breakfast items, she cut the long queue to tell me i have to put the outdoor seats out. I was already apologising to the customers waiting in line for the delay and this woman sees a full cafe with people dining in, and people in line to then pull the same bs.

I said something like ‘i’ve told you many times now we cannot risk a fine and put down the seating for you.’ and then went back to serving. Knowing it was busy and all eyes would be on her, she burst into tears and started calling me aggressive, abusive, saying how i intimidate her etc. I’m a 4’11 25 year old woman rushing to make everyone’s orders, she was around 5’9 and mid 40s. She said she would never come back here and stormed out telling the customers already eating to walk out too. After she left, a few people apologised to me on her behalf.

Despite her tantrum, she continued to come in and ask for discounts and the outdoor seating to the other staff. i don’t know why she couldn’t have gone to the cafe next door and sat on their outdoor seats 😭

Got the notification the fit note was accepted and I will be sent a work capability letter

England.

Hello. I posted previously about my fit note being deemed as fake. After the call, I had someone else log onto my account to write a complaint and request a new coach in my journal. They also accepted a work search commitment. I also have a work search commitments appointment in two weeks for 10 minutes.

I’ve just got a journal message saying my fit note has been accepted and I will be sent a form and letter soon. Would this change anything that will be done in the next appointment?

job coach told me my fit note is made up

Hello. i recently applied to universal credit and submitted my fit note for depression. I just had my call and the job coach told me uc is only for people who are looking for a job. I told him why I can’t, also wrote down why i can’t on the initial form. He then said my fit note is fake, because the gp didn’t write further info. They only ticked the box saying not fit for work, and wrote anxiety and depression. He said either i turn up to the job centre and look for work or close the claim. I don’t know what to do.

I have been seeing my GP by phone calls, mental health teams by phone calls too. And am waiting for psychiatric help. My mental health teams, are aware that I am not able to leave the house but do not have an official diagnosis yet for all of my symptoms combined, noted by the mental health team and written on my uc application form: agoraphobia(?) severe depression, suicidal intent, low sleep (3 hours a day), ocd. He questioned the legitimacy of these phone calls saying but i would have to see them in person for these services. When i explained that I cannot get out of bed, tend to personal hygiene or dress myself, despite being able to do so before last November, he cut me off saying he’s moving on from this as i’m lying. I was only saying it to explain why my appointments are by phone call.

With the way the call went, I wasn’t even able to tell him about my day to day struggles and why it impacts me: looking for a job, leaving the house to attend interviews and then working. It just became a back and forth of me being told i’m lying, i try to say why im not and he moves on.

applied to uc due to mental health issues, cannot get a sick note till June 5th. (England)

England.

I had issues regarding my mental health and sought help for depression and suicidal intent back in October. My meds caused bad side effects and i was told to get off of them and was put on a mental health team waitlist.

I have been unemployed since November and lived off of my savings, which has now ran out. If the mental health team give me meds, I would need to go onto universal credit to afford it, as my effects from depression makes it hard to step out of the house, let alone look/go to work.

I submitted a request to my GP today for a sick note. they have been aware of my conditions since October, and the fact I am unable to work due to sleeping 3 hours a day, suicidal ideation, self harm, and lack of motivation to even get out of bed. They’ve decided to give me a phone call apppintment for the 5th June.

I applied for UC today and truly do not feel like i can look for work. I used to work 60-80 hours a week before stating antidepressants, and kind of used it as a distraction of my mental health. But now i’m too anxious to leave the house. If UC contact me soon, would they make me look for work due to the delayed sick note?

want to move on from reta//hospitality

I (25f) have experience as a support worker for individuals with complex needs. I’ve worked as a supervisor for miniso and my most recent role was as a manager for a cafe (3 years).

i quit that role as i would be sent to potential store locations, help renovate, interview and train staff, and then stay for until the store was stable enough for me to move onto the next. i worked around 60-80 hours a week on £1 more than minimum wage an hour. My duties also included rota scheduling, stock orders, performance reviews, and day to day tasks like cleaning, prep work, cooking and making drinks.

I have a 2.1 law degree but never did anything law related. i want to transition out of retail/hospitality and find something more stable. However admin/office roles seem untouchable, I have basic skills on excel and other applications. I’m currently doing the TEFL just to have something to do and learn.
