Deflecting Hardtear or Other Deflect mods?

I am glad that Fromsoft added the deflecting hardtear into the game because it means that there is a well designed and perhaps balanced version of the Sekiro deflect now in Elden Ring, but I guess that made me wonder: do the mods that make the hardtear permanent make the other deflect mods obsolete? What is the difference? I haven't played the DLC yet and wanted to do so with mods, so I was wondering what the best deflect mod would be. Is it generally the consensus view that the deflecting hardtear mechanic is better than modded deflect mechanics? Does it have the same window of frames as something like Sekiro? Can you deflect from any angle, or is it just in front like a shield? Does it work on projectiles like Sekiro, or are there any mods at all that have a deflect exactly like Sekiro? Just curious what you guys think with your experiences.

By my count there are a few promising deflect mods that people like, including Deflect Me Not, Sekiro Deflect and Dodge, and "Deflection" (which looked the best but is under review for some reason). Are any of these better than just a permanent deflect tear, and if so, in what way?

Please help me find this book

I remember reading the first maybe issue or two of a comic a year or so ago, and for the life of me I do not remember the name. All I remember is that it had some people trapped somewhere in a cave I think? And there was a frightening creature sort of thing and they weren't sure if it was friendly or not, and it sort of took care of them and helped them survive. It might have looked humanoid like a giant blue guy but I might just be hallucinating that part. I think it was a fantasy book, maybe post apocalyse of some sort. Does anyone have any idea what I'm referring to? I really hope one of you knows, its been killing me today.

Difficulty ranking? So I know what I’m getting into

I just got done with Blasphemous 2 and I thought it was a decent challenge. Some of the bosses were on the frustrating side of the difficulty spectrum and honestly it burnt me out a bit. I have 5 Metroidvanias left on the backlog: Nine Sols, MIO, Ori 1 and 2, and Silksong.

I wanna know, in your guys opinion, where these games rank in terms of difficulty relative to other 2D Metroidvanias. For reference, here are the ones I have played: Hollow Knight, Blasphemous 1 and 2, Dead Cells (mostly a rogue like I know), Metroid Dread, Super Metroid, and Animal Well. Some were obviously easier than others. In your experience, where do you think those 5 I listed above rank compared to the ones I’ve beaten?

Eviterno was an amazing boss and I felt like it was the perfect culmination of the game's combat, it was definitely a challenging fight too. Now this dumbass skeleton has the audacity to present me with a platforming gauntlet and two shotting me if I make a mistake. This would be a fine boss I think if it weren't for the flower part, because it combines the two worst things in this game (and most games really): enemy summons in a boss fight and inconsistent or varied projectile clusters. If it weren't for this move I think I would have finished this boss on my 5th attempt.

Besides just going and getting more flask upgrades (I have 4) or unlocking more prayer knots (I have 3), are there any tips for that attack in particular? Everything else is pretty easy but I always end up dying there. I think the flowers must have been buffed or something because I keep seeing people dash into them to kill them but it doesn't work like that for me. Maybe the whole boss got buffed since launch idk.

Anyways just writing this because honestly this boss has been a little bit of a stain on what I would otherwise consider a great game; too easy on 90% of its moves and too annoying on 10%. If anyone can give me a good strategy to get this over with I would appreciate it.
