Never Assume!

So after my last 'relationship' went terribly south, I decided to take some time off. At least, that’s what I thought, until I met this young, beautiful girl at a bakery I frequent.

For the first two days, I’d just make my order and head off to do my business. I normally spend an hour there because I’m the kind of person who likes to get to work an hour before everyone else. Plus, I don’t like preparing breakfast, so I have it there instead.

Fast forward a little, and I made a move, cracking some dry jokes which she seemed to enjoy a bit too much. I even started getting stares from her co-workers. Eventually, I got her number and needless to say, damn, is she a poor texter! I mean, I can get replies after a day. But then again, I can’t complain because I don’t like texting either.

But every time we met, it was a blast, and the Kinuthia in me decided to ask her out.

“That’s really kind of you, I’d love to go out,” she said.

I had scored big time!

Only for me to wake up one Saturday morning and see her engagement pictures.

And just when I thought that was bad enough, she posted in our group chat asking everyone to get ready for a ruracio.

The gods saved me this time.

A break from the attention

After a successful display at the Concourse the old boy is back home as we go through the offers. Who can name the green VW at the back? (Tip it's one of only three in Kenya)
