Breakup and fear of never finding same love again - how do I proceed? (M19, F23, 1200km)
I read a lot of posts about breakups, and everyone keeps saying that it's nostalgia not for her, but for the idea of her. I'm afraid, though, that she was everything I ever wanted. Music taste, humour, life attitude, looks, only some MINOR disagreements on politics; mutually liking most of the things in sex. We were from a same friend group which I now have to leave (my decision; she didn't pressure me). I adopted so much little mannerisms from her that will hurt to use from now on.
It wasn't a nasty breakup. She's been to long distance twice before me, and herself admitted that she was quite tired of waiting, and this relationship worked solely because I treated her better than anyone before. I ordered tickets, and was to visit her by the end of the week, but then my family started blocking the whole thing. It wouldn't be a problem so much if I wasn't financially dependable on them. I'm on good terms with everyone, but it turned out everyone on the paternal side has a dumb prejudice towards Armenians.
We talked back and forth about the situation for 3 days straight, and it got increasingly obvious she wouldn't want to build a family where half of said family is against her because of the nationality. Today, she called it quits.
It's not my first relationship, but it's my first long-distance relationship. Despite that, it seems like she's all I ever loved and wanted. I didn't feel CLOSE to how emotional I am now, when I broke up with my IRL girlfriend of 2 years. I know it's probably dumb, but right now it feels like I won't ever achieve such a match about all the big and little things with a woman again.
Please help.
