Clip from a Mexican noir

I’ve tried once here before but might as well again. This is a clip from a noir playing in a laundromat while I was waiting for a dryer to finish in Oaxaca. I looked up the TV channel’s schedule, it just said a movie was playing, but no title. I’ve emailed film scholars and gotten that it’s likely a Tiresias-like scene - a turning point that involves a blind person to invoke the idea of justice. But no title - suggestions for possibilities, but none worked.

So just giving a shot again. Anyone know it?

Voltz Clarke - Ian Curtis / Insight

Someone here tipped off about the Ian Curtis: Insight show at Voltz Clarke galley in NYC. It’s really good & open for another week if others have a chance to go.

Interesting to see a lot of lyrics written out. I thought “24 Hours” jumped out because of how many cross outs and revisions there were.

Samantha Kattan

Just a quick shoutout to Samantha Kattan. She got my early vote. She was going door-to-door and while I’m reading things about some people being aggressive while doing it, she wasn’t. I’m not the biggest DSA-type but got the sense from her there was room for dialogue & for someone going to Albany, that’s a good quality. Also just seemed very immersed in the issues in a selfless kind of way. So quick shoutout because I think the extra effort on her part deserves it!
