Hey all, I’m taking Metformin for PCOS/PMOS issues, and my doctor put me on 1.5mg of metformin to hopefully help my weight (for some neurological issues) I wanted to know if anyone else took these two together, and what I should do to help my weight loss!

Hi everyone!!! I’m a Pakistani 2nd year uni student. Recently my marks were not adequate with getting a bach of science, so my next best option to graduate with the degree I want is a bach of Arts. However I’m south asian ofc, so I’m kind of worried about this. My parents have been nothing but supportive thankfully and they don’t care what I do as long as it’s something good. However that trust they have makes it harder because I know deep down they’d be happier if I got a Bsc. The factor of “what will people say” is also big. Idk what brown aunties and uncles will say when they see me getting a BA on my diploma instead of a BSC. I’m not saying a BA is inherently bad, but again we are south asian soooo

I recently got my menses, however I have an issue in my life that I constantly pray tahajjud for. My question is, am I still allowed to wake up during tahajjud time, to make duaa for the issue instead of praying? (Reciting duaa al istikhara, instead of praying it). Jasak Allah in advance.
Asalamualaikum everyone. I have run into an issue that I wanted advice for.
Recently I have fallen in love with someone from my university, I go to NYU. I havent seen him in person yet, but I have talked in university group chats with him. He is also my mutual on social media. I dont know him fully yet, but I feel like his morals/values align with mine, but the only issue is we are 2 different cultures. Which I am okay with, I actually wanted to marry someone outside of my culture but I’m unsure if he wants to. Regardless, I cannot talk to him because 1. I am too shy to, and dont want to make things haram 2. We are too young to get married now, so again I don’t want us to talk to lead to haram. For now communication is off the books unfortunately.
What I have noticed is that: I always wake up every single morning for tahajjud and pray extra for him, and make istikhara. I tell Allah that if he is meant for me please make him good for me and for our relationship for your sake. If he isn’t good for me, please detach my heart from him, for he is not mine.
So far, I’ve found that I am way more Islamic now Alhamdullilah. I pray all my prayers on time, I wake up for fajr and tahjjud all the time, and I always pay attention to my prayers. I have not been able to get him out of my mind for weeks. Ultimately I trust Allah for whatever He does is for a good reason.
If anyone has any advice on this topic or insights please do let me know.

I was just curious about something! For people who wear religious head coverings (i.e., hijab, turban, etc.) and started wearing them after entering university, are they allowed to change the photo on their TCard for free? For example, if their original photo shows their hair, but they now need to cover it for religious reasons, would they be able to update their photo so that it reflects how they currently look?
I know that TCard replacements usually cost $20, so I was just wondering if there is an exception for religious reasons. This was just a random thought I had and was curious about!
Hi, I was looking to do media studies as a minor alongside Psychology (major) and Health Humanities (Minor). I need a rather easier minor to pair with those two, so if anyone can tell me how Media studies is, is it hard or just a lot of work, and do I have to do coding in different courses.

I’m in my second year of health policy, and I haven’t took school affiliated coop. I know it’s beneficial to take coop/intership positions now since it’ll help towards my grad school which im aiming for an MPH.
