How can I find the person responsible for my DAAD scholarship program?

Hi everyone,
I’m applying for the DAAD Master’s scholarship, and I’m hoping someone who has been through the process can give me some advice.
I emailed the general DAAD contact explaining my situation. Due to the war in my country, I lost access to the internet for a long period, couldn’t attend English classes, and IELTS is currently unavailable in Iran, so I have to travel abroad to take the exam. Because of financial constraints, I won’t be able to obtain my official IELTS certificate before the DAAD application deadline, although I expect to have it before the Master’s program starts.
Unfortunately, I received a standard reply saying that applications without the required original documents cannot be considered.
However, I’ve seen several Reddit posts where people mentioned that they contacted the person responsible for their specific DAAD program, explained their circumstances, and received a more personalized response.
My question is: How did you find that person? Is there a program coordinator, selection officer, or someone responsible for a specific scholarship program that applicants can contact directly? Or is the general DAAD email the only official point of contact?
If you’ve successfully reached the right person or know how to do it, I’d really appreciate your advice.
Thank you!

Searching for 5 unhinged but disciplined people

We’re searching for 4 slightly unhinged people to join a telegram accountability group.

Requirements:
22+ only.
Chronically broke.
Works hard.
Studies hard.
Wants to build a better future instead of doomscrolling.
Willing to show up consistently for study/work sessions.

We’ll study together, work together, keep each other accountable, and hopefully make some real progress.
Bonus: If you’re an international student in Germany (or know the German university system well), that’s even better.
If this sounds like your kind of people, leave a comment or send me a DM.

Is it legal to stay in a subleased apartment in Finland on a Schengen visa?

Hi everyone,
My friend and I are visiting Finland this summer for a short-term exchange/study period and will be entering with a Schengen visa for about two months.
Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to find accommodation through student housing, so we’re considering renting a room or apartment through a sublease from another student.
We have a few questions:
Is subleasing common and legal in Finland if the main tenant has permission to do so?
Has anyone stayed in a subleased apartment while studying or visiting Finland?
Could staying in a legally subleased apartment cause any issues when entering Finland on a short-term Schengen visa?
Is a sublease agreement generally accepted as proof of accommodation if requested by authorities?
We’d appreciate any advice or personal experiences.
Thanks!

Second Call Announcement for Telegram Study Group

After an amazing first round, we’re officially opening applications for Round 2 of the 214 Discipline Challenge.

The first challenge brought together a group of people committed to showing up every day, tracking their study time, staying accountable, and pushing each other to be consistent. We had daily rankings, announcements, friendly competition, and a genuinely motivating atmosphere.

Because this is an active accountability challenge rather than a regular study group, spots are limited. In the previous round, participants were required to submit their study timers regularly, and inactive members were removed so that the challenge remained fair and manageable for everyone. Our admins personally monitor submissions and maintain the leaderboard, which means we can only accept a certain number of participants.

📚 What to expect:

Daily study accountability
Stopwatch/timer submissions
Rankings and leaderboards
Challenge announcements
Supportive but disciplined environment
A community focused on consistency rather than motivation alone

If you’ve been searching for a structured way to stay on track with your studies, this might be for you.

📩 Interested in joining Round 2? Send me a DM and I’ll provide the group ID and further details.

First come, first served. Once the available spots are filled, applications will close.

See you in the challenge. ⏳🔥
