when sharpening a plane blade or chisel do you take the burr off at the last/finest stone or do it after each stone before moving up

Hobby woodworker here. I’ve got a 3/4” steel water pipe and I need to reduce the OD by .02-.03” to fit into a 1” bearing. I’ve turned it by hand against a coarse bench grinder stone and now trying turning with a hand drill and 60 grit sandpaper (free and supported by a hole cut in wood and clamped to table). Not much progress (maybe got .01” off”. Pipe is about 18in long and I need the last 3-4” reduced in diameter. Any ideas?

Anybody have the Hercules 12in sliding miter saw that can tell me the height on both the up and down/locked position. Trying to figure clearance for a flip top and I think will need to measure when it’s stowed on the down

Am I doing something wrong or does a zero clearance insert significantly degrade dust collection quality on a table saw. Running a Dewalt job site with shop vac and cyclone separator. Don’t have overhead/blade guard dust collection because I can’t seem to figure out the fitting

Going to take advantage of the deal of the day and stock up on Carwash supplies. I’ve always just done a generic car wash soap and haven’t waxed or wash/wax combo. What should I get?

I have a couple different vermicomposts going fairly well (though the worms don’t seem to understand they are supposed migrate trays in regular fashion so I can rotate them and harvest rather than seemingly occupy all haphazardly). I’ve also got a tumbler that’s been doing well with kitchen scraps and grass clippings and and cardboard and sawdust. Somehow worms got into the tumbler and now it’s a full blown worm farm. I guess it’s ok? Just don’t know how I’m going to harvest without basically taking a ton of worms with it. I guess that’s ok too. Any thoughts

PLS has the battery and free tool deal. Thinking of taking the HF battery platform plunge. Which one gets the most love? Bauer seems to edge out a little for me because has some yard work tools (weed whacker, mini chainsaw pruner) and I’d probably get the oscillating multitool (unless folks think it’s garbage)…Is Hercules that much more solid for hand power tools?
