To polish or leave as is?

Cool crystal boat with sterling sail.

Considering polishing it, but I don’t mind the patina.

I almost left this behind at the thrift store because I couldn’t find the mark but the sulfur smelt right so I kept looking… took me a minute haha

Mitsubishi VCR, cool.

I have never seen a VCR made by Mitsubishi, so I got it for a cool $7.

Works very well. Looks good. It will serve as a back up for when my other units inevitably die… I’ve lost two this year :(((((

Thrifted Vintage Lane Set ❤️

Only $100.

I’m giving my mom the two end tables and keeping the other piece for my home.

I believe these are from 1967, but I could be wrong.

It’s so nice finding quality furniture for good prices these days.

Why Do My VCRs In Living Room Keep Dying?

This is my second VCR to die in about 30 days… is it a coincidence or is something wrong? I use a small converter for AV to HDMI, is there a possibility that’s what is killing the video output in my VCRs? Both VCRs lost only image for the VHS playback… not DVD. I cleaned both VCRs to no avail. I have backup combo players but I want to figure out why I lost 2 in a month before I set up a new device….

My other combo players in other rooms of the house do not die… so idk what’s going on. Only difference be is living room uses the converter.

Goodwill Pricing Is Surpassing Discount Retailers

There were more junk brands on this rack for $21.

Literally cheaper to go to a discount retailer like Ross, Marshall’s, etc. and those items ARE NEW.

Yall need to stop buying marked up items, I have seen several pieces like this sell and it’s honestly so sad… do better people :(

They wouldn’t price like this if it wasn’t working… it’s been getting VERY BAD here.

I keep tabs on the grift items they put out here and just the other day they put out a Torrid overall for $42 and I was going to post about it BUT IT SOLD. It doesn’t even go for $42 online, who the hell is buying this crap?

I had NO IDEA passing my VCR through a receiver would improve just about everything when watching my VHS tapes…

To be honest, I found an Onkyo receiver complete with surround sound and a remote and planned on flipping it for some quick cash, BUT while testing it I learned a receiver can improve viewing quality…. I never knew this. Couple the improved image and SIGNIFICANTLY better sound quality and there is no chance I’m getting rid of this receiver lol.

It’s like I’m watching my tapes for the first time again 🥰

I asked an employee the other week why VHS stopped showing up on the media wall and they told me they started THROWING THEM AWAY. Naturally, this devastated me, so I asked them to let me know if they get any in and I can maybe save some before they got tossed.

Fast forward to today and they started putting VHS back on the shelf and the lady I spoke to a couple weeks ago told me they started putting them back on the shelves instead of tossing them because of our conversation.

Yippie. We back boys.

I wonder how many good tapes are tossed daily…

I’m a lucky boy. I love the wolf tie pin, should be about 100 years old with spinel eyes and 15ct gold.
