22re hissing by EGR
Hey folks been hearing some hissing after turning the car off on my 85 22re. It sounds like it’s coming from somewhere back by the EGR. Anyone dealt with this before? I’m guessing some kinda leak but not sure.

Working on my 1985 celica gt, and getting a knock sensor code. I’ve found the knock sensor but there doesn’t seem to be a spot for it in the block where others say it should be. I’ve scoured the passenger side for any other spot for it to no avail. I know the previous owner rebuilt the engine at some point so I’m thinking it’s a different model year of the engine that’s the exact same save for that it didn’t come with a knock sensor. Which I read is the case for some of the trucks with the 22re engine. I’m thinking my best bet is to JB weld a bolt on to hold the sensor where the threaded hole should be, rather than tap a hole somewhere since I’d rather not take out the engine. You guys think this would work?
Working on my 85 Celica GT. Recently got a knock sensor light after working on my intake to replace the gaskets. The knock sensor doesn’t have a spot to go in the side of the block, and was previously just zip tied to the intake. It seems like it was getting a reading before being zip tied since I didn’t have a CEL, but I don’t feel super comfortable with that long term. What are my options for it? Tap a hole to insert the Knock sensor?
Currently taking off the intake manifold to replace the gaskets, giving me a run for my money so many hidden bolts. Got them all off but now the lower manifold won't come off, it's getting stuck on the backmost stud for some reason!
