I have very sensitive eyes: should I get lash extensions/lash lift/tint?

Hi everyone!!

I really want to get my lashes done (never done it before) - I’m open to extensions as well as a lift/tint. But I’m genuinely worried that it’s not going to go well for me.

For context, I have always had sensitive eyes and got frequent infections when I wore contacts for a long period of time. I also got my lens implant surgery done about 4 years ago. Haven’t had an infection since but I am prone to dry eyes nonetheless.

Given this background, would it be safe for me to try it out? I’m going on vacation mid-August and REALLY wanted to try them out but I’m so paranoid after reading lash-lift-gone-wrong stories.

Looking for thoughts or recommendations from people who were a similar situation, and if/why you did/didn’t get your lashes done. HELP ME MAKE A DECISION!

My favourite summer make up look!

Although, on a side note, I feel like my eyes almost NEVER look good when I wear kajal/mascara on my lower lash line - anybody else who feels this way? I wonder if it has to do with my eye size/shape and if it has a workaround. Would love to hear recommendations!

Multi-entry Schengen visa approved for Iceland

I hold an Indian passport and I reside and work in Ireland (been 2 years now).

I had applied for a multi-entry visa to Iceland through VFS in Dublin and was granted entry for 45 days. This is my first time applying for a Schengen visa and don’t have any travel history, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that all went well and my application was processed in exactly 10 working days.

Here’s a list of all the documents I submitted in case anybody finds it helpful:

- Cover Letter
- Completed and signed Harmonized Schengen Visa Application Form
-Copy of Online Schengen Visa Application Submission
- Copy of Passport
- Copy of Irish Residence Permit (IRP)
- Copy of Employment Permit
- Employer reference letter confirming employment status, annual salary, and approved leave dates
- Three months of payslips
- Three months of bank statements
- Residential lease agreement as proof of current residence in Dublin
- Confirmed round-trip Icelandair flight reservation (Dublin-Reykjavik- Dublin)
- Airbnb accommodation reservation for the duration of stay in Iceland
- Detailed travel itinerary and estimated trip budget breakdown
- Valid travel medical insurance with adequate coverage across all Schengen countries
- Passport-sized photograph meeting Schengen visa specifications

Feel free to ask any questions. I’d be more than happy to help :)

How much should I expect to pay for a double-bedroom apartment in Dublin?

I’m a full-time working professional looking for a double bedroom to rent in and around Dublin. I’m currently sharing a room and paying €700+bills in a 2-bedroom apartment in Leopardstown which is quite steep for a shared room.

My office is in the city (close to the Westmoreland/Tara Street area), so all I’m looking for is reliable public transport connectivity (luas/train - i hate the bus service in Dublin). I mostly work from home, so I have a wfh set up and only commute once a week, so the location just needs to have grocery stores nearby as I don’t own a car.

What areas would you recommend targeting and what rent can I expect? I don’t mind a 2/3/4/5-bedroom apartment even as long as I get a double bedroom to myself.

My budget is ideally €750-900 (lower the better) but the areas I’ve looked at so far (Sandyford, Stillorgan, Leopardstown, etc.) don’t look promising tbh, so I’m now looking for recommendations on ways in which I can get what I’m looking for.

This is my first time posting on here - I’m open to any and all suggestions!
