On the one hand, you want to go there and enjoy it in real life for a while...

On the other hand, chances are that if you broadcast the location, people will flock to it and leave it trashed. And later, it's quite likely that the police will put a ban on the site as a whole just so that they can reduce their workload of potentially having to monitor the place.

Have seen that happen to many sites in the past few months. 1 was the aquaduct near kuthiran where people when to enjoy it as a water-slide (made famous through Insta Obv) and 2 is Peechi Paadam... But I've seen people say you can go there despite the ban/casual ban

Both places were restricted by the cops because of beer bottles being littered/broken there...

How is this different from any scooter or bike trying to stay out of the way?

I might be the problem, but if I stuck left it would've been a bigger pain cos most of the vehicles are going to turn left into Corporation Road

We are the driving force behind the 6th mass extinction event this planet is experiencing. At least 69% of animal species the Earth hosted 50 years ago has disappeared. Soon there will be no wonder left for us to appreciate. But hey, a fraction of the human population profits from selling us the products of this exploitation of our planet; whether it be fossil fuels and plastics, counterfactual commodities derived from protected fauna and flora or simply the idea that the natural world is expendable. I guess we can all find wonder in the different colours of trash we are replacing our rivers with!

This artwork isn't fatalistic. Indeed, it is hopeful. Hope that the innocent creatures that remain once the oceans have risen shall feed on our bones and that nature shall thrive again.

Hope may sink for humans, but nature may still reclaim the earth in some form after we are gone.

Came across these today. Have there been any such stirrings in your localities?

I feel like such hoardings may be fewer in number and lesser in grandiose this time around because the old guards have one foot out the door be it Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo or the generation that is their biggest fans in KL.

I wanted to document such hoardings last time around because it really is our culture though brief and passing at such a fever pitch. I am planning to photograph as many of the 'good' ones I come across as I can. Maybe put it up on Instagram.
