Itchy skin treatments?

Itchy skin treatments?

My poor guy deals with itchy skin on and off. He’s been on Apoquel many years ago. Licked a spot on his back yesterday but coned him before it got worse. Overnight he found another spot to lick, even with cone. Woke up raw and bloody.

Has anyone used fish oil for skin? Other treatments?

We are going to vet later today.

Pic for attention.

Caffeine after ablation

Are you able to tolerate caffeine after having an ablation?

Ablation was two months ago, doc thinks 80% successful. For about a year before I cut caffeine due to pregnancy and SVT going rogue. Haven’t had it since.

Lots of “almost episodes” lately where it feels like I’m going to go into SVT but it doesn’t. Lasts a few seconds. Could caffeine push me over?

How much do you pay for grooming?

We just had to switch groomers and I had a little sticker shock at the $110 cost before tip. What do you pay and where are you located? Massachusetts here.

Kirkland causing constipation?

6 month old twins

Anyone have this issue? One twin is on the blue Kirkland snd the other is on purple. Purple started to become constipated soon after we switched from Similac but is okay on and off, and with some prune juice per pedi. Blue has been on it for a few months and now suddenly becoming constipated. Is it the formula? We’ve started purées once a day but nothing wild.

Nummular eczema & steroid cream?

Over the last few years I would occasionally get a dry patch of skin on my legs - didn’t think anything of it. After having my twins six months ago my skin is completely flaring up with the dry patch spots. Some are bright red and HURT, others I don’t even notice but look like flaky, dry skin.

Derm told me it’s eczema and prescribed triamcinolone acetonide ointment USP 0.1%. Said I could only apply it once a day or if I did twice a day I can only do it for two weeks a month.

I’ve been doing once a day and see zero change. Patches still come and go, take forever to heal, leave scars. They seem to be popping up more places now.

Anyone have good experiences with this cream? Should I go back and ask for something else?

25 cents off per gallon?

I’ve received this text a few times - today and over the 4th weekend. However there is nothing in the app about it when I open it. What am I doing wrong?

Anyone else awake during entire ablation?

Had ablation today. Before going in I was told I would be awake for the mapping and then sedated when they actually ablate. Welp, I was awake for everything. No pain while ablating but pressure and lots of in/out of SVT while they paced. Apparently they did give me sedation (versed/fent) but it had little effect. This happen to anyone else?

I’m very glad it’s over with and while EP thinks it was only 80% successful I’m hoping the odds are in my favor.

Lifting restrictions after ablation?

Going in tomorrow. I have infant twins so we already have help set up. Wondering how long the lifting restrictions are… I tried to ask during the pre-op call and they said the doctor would go over everything with me at discharge. I’ve heard a week and I’ve heard 10 days.

Google Nest Doorbell stops recording mid event?

We pay for the Nest Aware subscription and more than once when I go back and watch an event, it just stops recording mid event. Is this normal? We used to pay for the 24/7 recording to it was never an issue.

However, today an Amazon driver stole two packages from us - event cut out mid recording. We have enough other evidence to send to Amazon but this is super frustrating.

Pitcher method and transitioning formulas

I’m in the process of transitioning one of my 5 month old twins from Similac to Kirkland for cost reasons. Because my twins are on different formulas I started doing the pitcher method months ago.

Currently we are 75/25 so I mix a pitcher with Similac and then a separate bottle with Kirkland. As I pour each bottle throughout the day I’m adding like 3 oz Similac, 1 oz Kirkland.

Can I mix them separate to start but then add them together into the pitcher for the day to alleviate the extra step for each bottle?

Cali Beach Co pop up tent?

This is all over my social media ads lately - does anyone have it and use it for twins? Thinking outside, beach, pool, etc. Twins are currently 4 months so small - when would they outgrow it? I see videos of older kids in it so thinking it’s bigger than it looks?

Also, is the self inflatable air mattress worth it?

I see a lot of older versions without the netting on the top on marketplace for under $100.

Changing from Similac 360 Gentle (purple) to closest generic?

One of my twins was put on Nutramigen at a month old due to intolerance. Pediatrician told us at 4 month appt we could start transitioning to a gentle formula and see how she does. She’s been tolerating the Similac purple well (they gave us a few samples to do it).

Has anyone transitioned to a generic from this to save money? I’m not going to do it right away since we just transitioned and want to give it a bit.

Other twin is on blue Similac and as stash has gone lower we are going to transition to Kirkland. I wish they had a purple generic.

One of my twins was diagnosed with milk protein enteropathy around a month old and put on Nutramigen. While we are thankful insurance covers it, the smell is just AWFUL. I feel like it’s embedded in her skin. And the poops - omg.

At two months doctor mentioned we may be able to transition her back to Similac 360 as early as four months (which is next week!).

Has anyone been through something similar? Curious how transitioning went.

Just had an episode while making dinner - ablation is scheduled for June and can’t come fast enough.

I’m curious if others have picked up on what triggers their SVT or if it’s random.
